Struga Poetry Evenings
Struga Poetry Evenings (SPE) ( mk, Струшки вечери на поезијата, СВП; tr. ''Struški večeri na poezijata'', ''SVP'') is an international poetry festival held annually in Struga, North Macedonia. During the several decades of its existence, the Festival has awarded its most prestigious award, the Golden Wreath, to some of the most notable international poets, including: Mahmoud Darwish, Sachchidananda Hirananda Vatsyayan Agyey, W. Christopher Brennan Award
The Christopher Brennan Award (formerly known as the Robert Frost Prize) is an Australian award given for lifetime achievement in poetry. The award, established in 1973, takes the form of a bronze plaque which is presented to a poet who produces work of "sustained quality and distinction". It was awarded by the Fellowship of Australian Writers and named after the poet Christopher Brennan. The most recent award was made in 2015. Archibald Lampman Award
The Archibald Lampman Award is an annual Canadian literary award, created by Blaine Marchand, and presented by the literary magazine ''Arc'', for the year's best work of poetry by a writer living in the National Capital Region. History The award is named in honour of Canadian poet Archibald Lampman (1861–1899). Born in 1861, he graduated from Trinity College (Toronto) in 1882, then moved to Ottawa where he worked for the Post Office until his death in 1899. He is known for his ability to immerse metaphysics in the details of nature, which he observed while hiking round what was then the wilderness capital of a new country. His books include Among the Millet (1888), Lyrics of Earth (1895) and the posthumous Alcyone (1900). In 2007, the Archibald Lampman Award for Poetry merged with the Duncan Campbell Scott Foundation, creating the $1500 annual Lampman–Scott Award in honour of two great Confederation Poets. Manitoba Books Awards/Les Prix du livre du Manitoba is the premiere annual book awards for Manitoba, Canada. Originating in 1988, an award gala is usually held in April in Winnipeg, Manitoba, celebrating the best of Manitoba writing and publishing from the previous year. Depending on the year, there are several awards conferred, as some of the awards are only bestowed biannually. {{Short description, Poetry award The ''Feldkirch Poetry Award'', in German Feldkircher Lyrikpreis, started by Erika Kronabitter, an Austrian artist and writer, is granted annually by the ''Theater am Saumarkt'' in Feldkirch, Vorarlberg/Austria. The Val Vallis Award
The Val Vallis Award is an Australian poetry award named in honour of the Queensland poet Val Vallis (1916–2009). Val Vallis was a lyric poet who lectured in English and Philosophy at the University of Queensland. In 2002 the then Arts Minister, Matt Foley, announced "...the naming of a major poetry award, the first Arts Queensland Val Vallis Award for Unpublished Poetry to commemorate Val’s contribution to poetry in Queensland." The Thomas Shapcott Poetry Prize, named in honour of a distinguished Queensland poet, is a literary award for an unpublished poetry manuscript by a Queensland-based author. The prize was established in 2003 and currently comes with prize money of $2000 and a publication contract with the University of Queensland Press. The Roland Robinson Literary Award
The Roland Robinson Literary Award was created in memory of the Australian poet, Roland Robinson (poet), Roland Robinson, who died in 1992. It was awarded from 1993 to 2008.
