Wanda Seux
Juana Amanda Seux Ramírez (3 January 1948 – 2 September 2020), better known as Wanda Seux, was a Paraguayan-Mexican vedette, dancer, and actress, who enjoyed a long career in film, television, and theatre in Mexico. Biography Wanda Seux was born in Paraguay, but as a child she moved with her family to the Argentine province of Salta. Her family was of Syrian- Lebanese origin. She married at the age of 23 following a family custom. At age 11, she was invited to participate in a beauty contest for young girls. She began to practice as a model in Orán, province of Salta. She studied and became an English teacher. At the age of 18, she moved to Buenos Aires, where she got a job as a dancer of Arab dances in a restaurant. She went from being a dancer to a half-vedette. Manuel Valdés
Fernando Manuel Alonso Gómez de Valdés y Castillo (21 January 1931 – 28 August 2020) was a Mexican actor and comedian. A member of the Valdés family, he was the brother of Ramón Valdés, who portrayed "Don Ramón" on the sitcom ''El Chavo'', and Germán Valdés (a.k.a. "Tin Tan"). ''Beauties of the Night'' (in Spanish ''Bellas de noche'') is a 2016 Mexican documentary film. It is the first production of the filmmaker María José Cuevas. The film shows a glimpse of the glory, sunset and resurgence of five of the main showgirls ( vedettes) that triumphed in Mexico in the decades of the 1970s and 1980s. A telenovela is a type of a television serial drama or soap opera produced primarily in Latin America. The word combines ''tele'' (for "television") and ''novela'' (meaning "novel"). Similar drama genres around the world include '' teleserye'' (Philippines), '' téléroman'' (Canada, specifically Quebec), and ''sinetron'' (Indonesia). Commonly described using the American colloquialism Spanish soap opera, many telenovelas share some stylistic and thematic similarities to the soap opera familiar to the English-speaking world. Mexican Sex Comedy
The Mexican sex comedy film genre, generally known as Ficheras film or Sexicomedias was a genre of sexploitation and Mexploitation films of the Mexican cinema that flourished in the 1970s and 1980s. It is recognized as a collection of usually low quality films with low budgets. Although the films had sexual tones and used double entendre, they were not particularly explicit (it was common for the male characters in this films to comedically fail in their attempts to have sex the female characters, and when intercourse did happen the performances were exaggerated and pantomime-like, aiming to generate laughter more than arousal). The genre is possibly based on the Italian erotic comedies.
