Wal Fife
Wallace Clyde Fife (2 October 1929 – 16 November 2017) was an Australian politician and minister in the New South Wales Government and Federal Government. Early life Fife was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales, and was educated at Wagga Wagga Public School, Wagga Wagga and Canberra Grammar School. In 1948 he started working in the federal secretariat of the Liberal Party and in 1949 he joined his family business, Fifes Produce Pty Ltd, in Wagga Wagga. He married Marcia Hargreaves Stanley in May 1952 and they had two daughters and two sons. Political career Fife was elected as the member for Wagga Wagga in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly in 1957. He was Minister for Mines from June 1967 to January 1975, Minister for Conservation from March 1971 to June 1972, Minister for Power from June 1972 to January 1975 and Minister for Transport and Minister for Highways from January 1975 until his retirement from the New South Wales Parliament in October 1975. 1993 Australian Federal Election
The 1993 Australian federal election was held to determine the members of the 37th Parliament of Australia. It was held on 13 March 1993. All 147 seats of the Australian House of Representatives and 40 seats of the 76-seat Australian Senate were up for election. The incumbent government of the centre-left Australian Labor Party led by Paul Keating, the Prime Minister of Australia, was re-elected to a fifth term, defeating the centre-right Liberal/National Coalition led by Opposition Leader John Hewson of the Liberal Party of Australia, and coalition partner Tim Fischer of the National Party of Australia. The Liberal Party of Australia (New South Wales Division), commonly known as the New South Wales Liberals, is the state division of the Liberal Party of Australia in New South Wales. Joe Schipp
Joseph John Schipp (21 March 1932 – 23 November 2017) was an Australian politician in the New South Wales Government. He was the Liberal member for Wagga Wagga in the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1975 to 1999. Personal life Schipp was born in Mudgee and named for his father, Joseph William. He attended school at Mudgee, Temora and finally Wagga Wagga before qualifying as a primary school teacher in 1950. He married Rhonda Daisy Lange on 13 November 1954; they had two sons. Edgar Hugh Graham (19 January 1897 – 13 November 1957) was an Australian politician and a member of the New South Wales Legislative Assembly from 1941 until his death . He was a member of the Labor Party and held numerous ministerial positions. He was the Minister for Agriculture for 13 years. Graham was born in Wagga Wagga, New South Wales and was the son of a farmer. He was educated to elementary level at state schools and initially worked as a butcher. He later worked as a stock agent and pig breeder. Graham was elected to the New South Wales Parliament as the Labor member for Wagga Wagga at the 1941 state election. He defeated the sitting Country Party member, Matthew Kilpatrick in the landslide victory that allowed William McKell to form a government. John Randall Sharp (born 15 December 1954) is a former Australian politician who served as a National Party member of the Australian House of Representatives representing the Divisions of Gilmore, 1984 to 1993 and Hume, 1993 to 1998 in New South Wales.
