Wade Rothery
Wade Anthony Rothery (born 7 June 1977) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer and local government councillor. At the 2024 Queensland local elections, Rothery was elected a councillor on the Yeppoon-based Livingstone Shire Council. Rugby league Rothery is best known for brief stint competing in the National Rugby League, where he played with the Balmain Tigers during the 1999 NRL season. Livingstone Shire
The Shire of Livingstone is a local government area located in the Capricornia region of Central Queensland, Queensland, Australia, to the immediate north and east of the regional city of Rockhampton. The shire, administered from the coastal town of Yeppoon, covers an area of , and existed as a local government entity from 1879 until 2008, when it amalgamated with several other councils to become the Rockhampton Region. The Shire was re-established on 1 January 2014 following a successful de-amalgamation referendum in 2013. Industry within the shire is diverse. Timber is harvested from extensive pine plantations near Byfield in the north. Significant pineapple production takes place within the shire, as well as other agricultural crops. Brittany Louise Lauga (née McKee; born 19 June 1986) is an Australian politician and town planner. She has been the Labor member for Keppel in the Queensland Legislative Assembly since 2015. Early life, education and non-political career Lauga grew up in Central Queensland, Australia, where her current residence is at the suburb of Parkhurst, in the Electoral District of Keppel. 2020 Queensland State Election
The 2020 Queensland state election was held on 31 October to elect all 93 members to the Legislative Assembly of Queensland. The Labor Party was returned to government for a third-term, led by incumbent premier Annastacia Palaszczuk. With 47 seats needed to form a majority government, Labor won 52 seats, including all but five in Brisbane, while the Liberal National Party won 34 seats and formed opposition. Michelle Leanne Landry (née Martin; born 15 October 1962) is an Australian politician who has been a member of the House of Representatives since the 2013 federal election, representing the Division of Capricornia. 2019 Australian Federal Election
The 2019 Australian federal election was held on Saturday 18 May 2019 to elect members of the 46th Parliament of Australia. The election had been called following the dissolution of the 45th Parliament as elected at the 2016 double dissolution federal election. The Division of Capricornia is an Australian Electoral Division in Queensland. Capricornia is a traditionally a Labor-voting electorate, having been Labor-held for 72 years of the 100 years since 1922. However, Capricornia has recently trended towards the Coalition since 2013. Peter-John "PJ" Marsh (born 19 February 1980 in Gladstone, Queensland) is an Australian former professional rugby league footballer who played in the 2000s. Scott Minto (born 20 September 1978) is a former professional rugby league footballer who played on the in 14 games for the North Queensland Cowboys and 39 games for the Brisbane Broncos in the NRL.
