2021–22 Belgian First Division B
The 2021–22 season of the Belgian First Division B began in August 2021 and ended in April 2022, with Westerlo winning the title by a considerable margin over RWDM, the latter losing the promotion play-off and hence not promoted together with Westerlo. Virton ended in last place and would have been relegated, were it not for the fact that after the season Excel Mouscron was not awarded a licence, causing them to be relegated instead. Team changes In * Royal Excel Mouscron were directly relegated from the 2020–21 Belgian First Division A after finishing last. * Waasland-Beveren were also relegated from the 2020–21 Belgian First Division A, after losing the promotion/relegation play-offs against Seraing. * Virton, who were denied both a professional and remunerated license at the end of the 2019–20 season and forced to relegate two levels as a result, successfully appealed this decision and were forced to be reinstated at this level. Out * Union SG were promoted from the 2 ...

2019–20 Belgian First Division A
The 2019–20 Belgian First Division A (officially known as Jupiler Pro League) was the 117th season of top-tier football in Belgium. On 2 April 2020, the Jupiler Pro League's board of directors agreed to propose to cancel the season early during the COVID-19 pandemic. Should this proposal be accepted, Club Brugge will be awarded the title. In the meantime UEFA has threatened to ban teams in Europe in case their respective leagues were terminated early without trying to have all remaining matches completed. The decision of whether to accept this proposal was initially meant to be decided by a vote at a meeting on 15 April 2020, but had been postponed three times. The proposal was finally accepted by the General Assembly on 15 May 2020, confirming Club Brugge as 2019–20 First Division A champions. Team changes As 2018–19 Belgian First Division B champions, Mechelen would have replaced relegated Lokeren. However, as part of the 2017–19 Belgian football fraud scandal, Me ...

Kévin Hoggas (born 16 November 1991) is a French professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for Waasland-Beveren in the Belgian First Division B. Career In the 2009–10 season, Hoggas was promoted to the first team of his hometown club Racing Besançon after progressing through their youth academy. After the bankruptcy of the club in 2012, he moved to Belfort. Hoggas, however, went up two divisions: he won a transfer to Ligue 2 club Évian Thonon Gaillard. His time at the club, however, turned out to be a disappointment: Hoggas was a starter in Ligue 2, but the club finished in a relegation spot and were even demoted to one tier lower due to financial problems. However, Hoggas was able to continue playing in Ligue 2 as he was signed by Bourg-en-Bresse. In January 2018, Hoggas made his first mo ...
