Violet (Pentagon EP)
''Violet'' is the second Japanese extended play by South Korean boy group Pentagon, released on January 17, 2018 by Cube Entertainment Japan. The EP contains Japanese-language versions of their previous songs, the title track "Violet" from '' Demo_02'' and "Beautiful" from '' Ceremony'', and four original songs. Background On November 16, 2017, it was announced that Pentagon would release their second Japanese EP on January 17, 2018. The track list and physical album types were also revealed on the same day. Pentagon (; stylized as PENTAGON; abbreviated as PTG) is a South Korean multi-national boy band formed by Cube Entertainment in 2016. The group consists of nine members: Jinho, Hui (singer), Hui, Hongseok, Shinwon, Yeo One, Yan An, Yuto Adachi, Yuto, Kino (singer), Kino and Wooseok. Kim Hyo-jong (born June 1, 1994), better known as Dawn and formerly E'Dawn, is a South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter. Dawn is best known as a former rapper and songwriter of the South Korean boy band Pentagon, releasing nine EPs in both Korean and Japanese before his departure from Cube Entertainment in 2018. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016.
