Kim Hyo-jong (born June 1, 1994), better known as Dawn and formerly E'Dawn, is a South Korean rapper and singer-songwriter. Dawn is best known as a former rapper and songwriter of the South Korean boy band Pentagon, releasing nine EPs in both Korean and Japanese before his departure from Cube Entertainment in 2018. Dawn also participated in the group Triple H alongside (then) bandmate Hui and labelmate Hyuna for the release of two EPs. Dawn made his solo debut on November 5, 2019, releasing the single "Money". Career 2016–2018: Cube Entertainment, Pentagon, and Triple H Dawn debuted on July 10, 2016, under the name of E'Dawn, with the group Pentagon under Cube Entertainment as a dancer and rapper. ''Thumbs Up!'' is the seventh extended play from South Korean boy band Pentagon. It was released on September 10, 2018, by Cube Entertainment. The album consists of five tracks, including the lead single, "Naughty Boy". This is the first project from the group to not feature all ten members, in which Yan An and E'Dawn were absent from the comeback, over health concerns and a dating scandal respectively. While he didn't provide his vocals for the album, E'Dawn participated in the composition of several tracks. It was later announced that E'Dawn would be leaving Pentagon on November 14, while Yan An would resume his activities with the group on November 25. Jessica Ho (born December 17, 1988), better known by her stage name Jessi, is an American rapper, singer, and entertainer based in South Korea. She was born in New York, raised in New Jersey, and moved to South Korea at the age of 15.
