Vergil (Devil May Cry)
is a character in ''Devil May Cry'', an action-adventure hack and slash video game series created by Japanese developer and publisher Capcom. He was introduced in the first ''Devil May Cry'' game as a boss called . Vergil is one of two devil-human hybrid sons of one of the devil lords called Sparda, and possesses demonic powers. He has appeared in three video games as a main antagonist opposing his twin brother, Dante, and in a novel and a manga based on the series. He is one of the two main antagonists of ''Devil May Cry 3'' (2005), and the final antagonist of ''Devil May Cry 5'' (2019), though he becomes an anti-hero at its conclusion. is a 2019 action-adventure game developed and published by Capcom. It is the sixth installment overall and the fifth mainline installment in the ''Devil May Cry'' series. Capcom released it for PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One on 8 March 2019. is a Japanese novelist. He also contributed to writing the video game franchise ''Devil May Cry'', its television anime series, as well as two light novels based on it. Career Morihashi published his first series named ''Tokyo Shimatsumou'' which was divided in two volumes.
