Vanemuine Concert Hall ( et, Vanemuise kontserdimaja) is a concert hall in Tartu, Estonia. The hall is located next to Vanemuine Theatre. The hall is managed by Eesti Kontsert Eesti Kontsert is an Estonian institution, which main activity is to organize music concerts and music festivals in Estonia and abroad. Annually, over 1000 concerts/festivals are organized by Eesti Kontsert. The institution was established in 1941 .... The hall was built in 1970. The hall was designed by architects August Volberg, Peeter Tarvas and Uno Tölpus. In 1998, the hall was renovated (architect Avo Kuldkepp). In 2001, the hall's extension was finished. Tartu

Vanemuine Theatre
Vanemuine () is a theatre in Tartu, Estonia. It was the first Estonian language theatre. History ''1870–1906 The Beginning of the Beginning. Koidula’s Theatre, Wiera’s Theatre.'' On June 24, 1870 was the first day in Estonian theatre history by Lydia Koidula's play "Saaremaa onupoeg" (en: Cousin from Saaremaa) was performed.It was the first Estonian language play and it was performed at the Vanemuine Society house at Jaama Street in Tartu. August Volberg (18 December 1896 Muuksi, Harju County – 21 June 1982 Tallinn) was an Estonian architect and educator.Eesti kunsti ja arhitektuuri biograafiline leksikon (EKABL). Peeter Tarvas (until 1940 Treumann; 6 January 1916, in Kuressaare – 23 March 1987, in Tallinn) was an Estonian architect and professor.Eesti kunsti ja arhitektuuri biograafiline leksikon (EKABL).
