Val Skinner
Val Skinner (born October 16, 1960) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Amateur career Skinner was born in Hamilton, Montana. She was the 1974 Nebraska Junior Girls champion and the 1976 Nebraska High School State champion and won both these titles in 1978. She was also the 1980 Nebraska Match Play champion. She played her collegiate golf at Oklahoma State University where she was 1980 and 1982 Big Eight champion and the 1982 Big Eight Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year. Professional career She began her professional career on the Women Professional Golfers' European Tour (WPGET) as the Ladies European Tour was known at the time and had four wins. She gained exempt status for the LPGA Tour in 1983 by finishing tied for third at the LPGA Final Qualifying Tournament. Hamilton, Montana
Hamilton is a city that serves as the county seat of Ravalli County, Montana, United States. The population was 4,659 at the 2020 census. History Hamilton was founded by copper king Marcus Daly in the late 19th century. It was named for J.W. Hamilton, who provided the right-of-way to the railroad. Daly is said to have wanted to begin business in the then county seat of Grantsdale, but was denied the opportunity. Liselotte Neumann
Liselotte Maria "Lotta" Neumann (born 20 May 1966) is a Swedish professional golfer. When she recorded her first LPGA Tour win, by claiming the 1988 U.S. Women's Open title, Neumann also became the first Swedish golfer, male or female, to win a major championship. Early years Neumann was born and grew up in Finspång, Sweden. Her father Rune was a former football player and coach of a local girls football team. After practicing different sports and supported by her father, her mother Ingegerd and her brother Mats, Neumann began playing golf at the local 9-hole course at Finspång Golf Club. She showed early promise and won the unofficial national youth championships, Colgate Cup, at three different levels, as a 12, 14, and 16-year-old. The Florida's Natural Charity Championship Hosted by Nancy Lopez was a golf tournament for professional female golfers that was part of the LPGA Tour from 1992 through 2006. For most of those years it was known as the Chick-fil-A Charity Championship. It was played annually at the Eagle's Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia. The title sponsor from 1995 to 2005 was Chick-fil-A, a fast-food restaurant chain headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia, that specializes in chicken sandwiches. In 2006, Florida's Natural, a cooperative of Florida citrus growers took over title sponsorship. Shelley Hamlin
Shelley Lee Hamlin (May 28, 1949 – October 15, 2018) was an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Career Hamlin was born in San Mateo, California. As an amateur golfer, she won the California Women's Amateur four times. She played at Stanford University and won the 1971 national individual intercollegiate golf championship. She played on the 1968 and 1970 Curtis Cup teams and the 1966 and 1968 Espirito Santo Trophy teams. In 1969, she lost in the finals of the U.S. Women's Amateur to Catherine Lacoste. Hamlin turned professional in 1972 and joined the LPGA Tour. She won three times on the LPGA Tour between 1978 and 1993. Hamlin was inducted into the Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame in 1971. Sandra Palmer (golfer)
Sandra Palmer (born March 10, 1943) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1964 and won 19 LPGA Tour events, including two major championships, during her career. Amateur career Palmer was born in Fort Worth, Texas, but grew up (and first played golf) in Bangor, Maine. She attended North Texas State University where she was a cheerleader and Homecoming Queen. Palmer attended North Texas State University, where she was runner-up in the 1961 National Collegiate Championship. While at North Texas State, Palmer joined Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She was a four-time winner of the West Texas Amateur and won the Texas State Amateur in 1963. Professional career Palmer turned professional and became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1964. She won 19 events on the Tour, and also several other professional events, including some as a senior.
