Shelley Hamlin
Shelley Lee Hamlin (May 28, 1949 – October 15, 2018) was an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. Career Hamlin was born in San Mateo, California. As an amateur golfer, she won the California Women's Amateur four times. She played at Stanford University and won the 1971 national individual intercollegiate golf championship. She played on the 1968 and 1970 Curtis Cup teams and the 1966 and 1968 Espirito Santo Trophy teams. In 1969, she lost in the finals of the U.S. Women's Amateur to Catherine Lacoste. Hamlin turned professional in 1972 and joined the LPGA Tour. She won three times on the LPGA Tour between 1978 and 1993. Hamlin was inducted into the Stanford Athletic Hall of Fame in 1971. Death Hamlin died on October 15, 2018, at age 69 from breast cancer. San Mateo ( ; ) is a city in San Mateo County, California, on the San Francisco Peninsula. Nancy Lopez won the most tournaments, nine. She also led the money list with earnings of $189,814. Japan Classic
The Toto Japan Classic is an annual women's professional golf tournament in Japan, jointly sanctioned by the two richest women's professional tours: the U.S.-based LPGA Tour and the LPGA of Japan Tour. It was an unofficial money event on the LPGA Tour from 1973 to 1975. It has taken place every year since 1973 at various locations, and is typically held in early November. From 2006 through 2015, the event has been played at Kintetsu Kashikojima Country Club in Shima, Mie. Beth Daniel (born October 14, 1956) is an American professional golfer. She became a member of the LPGA Tour in 1979 and won 33 LPGA Tour events, including one major championship, during her career. She is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Early life and amateur career Daniel was born on October 14, 1956 in Charleston, South Carolina. She played her collegiate golf at Furman University, and was on the 1976 national championship team that included future LPGA players Betsy King, Sherri Turner and Cindy Ferro. Amy Benz
Amy Benz (born May 12, 1962) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. As an amateur, Benz won the 1982 AIAW National Championship, was an AIAW Southern Methodist University All-American and was part of the team that won the 1982 Curtis Cup and the 1982 Espirito Santo Trophy. Other wins include the 1981 Women's Western Amateur, the Orange Bowl Classic and the American Junior Golf Association Tournament of Champions. Benz played on the LPGA Tour from 1983 to 2000. The ShopRite LPGA Classic, known in full for sponsorship reasons as The ShopRite LPGA Classic Presented by Acer, is a women's professional golf tournament on the LPGA Tour in Galloway, New Jersey, near Atlantic City. It took place annually from 1986 through 2006 and returned to the tour schedule in 2010 at the Bay Course at the Dolce Seaview Resort, with a prize fund of $1.75 million. Dana Lofland
Dana Lofland Dormann (born September 16, 1967) is an American professional golfer who played on the LPGA Tour. She also played under her maiden name Dana Lofland and as Dana Lofland-Dormann. Lofland won the 1985 U.S. Girls' Junior and the 1985 Junior World Golf Championships (Girls 15–17). Dormann won twice on the LPGA Tour in 1992 and 1993. JoAnne Carner
JoAnne Gunderson Carner (born April 4, 1939) is an American former professional golfer. Her 43 victories on the LPGA Tour led to her induction in the World Golf Hall of Fame. She is the only woman to have won the U.S. Girls' Junior, U.S. Women's Amateur, and U.S. Women's Open titles, and was the first person ever to win three different USGA championship events. Tiger Woods is the only man to have won the equivalent three USGA titles. Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus, and Carol Semple Thompson have also won three different USGA titles. Carner was inducted into the Rhode Island Heritage Hall of Fame in 1969. The Phar-Mor at Inverrary was a women's professional golf tournament in Florida on the LPGA Tour, held from 1990 through 1992. The 54-hole event was played in February at the Inverrary Country Club in Lauderhill, northwest of Fort Lauderdale.
