Vakinuvinama
''Vakinuvinama'' is a 2010 Maldivian horror film directed by Amjad Ibrahim. Produced by Fathimath Shifa under See Far Productions, the film stars Niuma Mohamed, Ravee Farooq and Ali Seezan in pivotal roles. Premise Rashaga (Niuma Mohamed) is in a romantic relationship with an indolent and short-tempered man, Ihusan (Ravee Farooq). Despite her family's disapproval to their relationship due to Ihusan's indecorous behavior, Rashaga refuses to leave him since he is her first love. One day, Rashaga's younger brother was saved by Zaid (Ali Seezan) from drowning, which helped him secure a place in her family's position. Ihusan breaks up with Rashaga and she marries Zaid as requested by her father, Waheed (Ali Shameel). Soon after she gives birth to a baby girl, Rasha feels sick and fails to be cured by any doctoral medication. Amjad Ibrahim
Amjad Ibrahim Didi (born 11 September 1967), commonly known as Amjad Ibrahim is a Maldivian film director and screenwriter. Early life After completing eleven years of service in Maldives National Defence Force, Ibrahim decided to pursue a career in film direction due to his "fondness" towards film-making process. His first work as a director was Naifaru Dhohokko's video single "Maslahathu Neiy An'binney", followed by directing six songs for the television program, ''Maazeege Handhaan''. Niuma Mohamed
Niuma Mohamed (pronounced ; 20 October 1977) is a Maldivian film actress, director, and producer. The highest-paid actress in Maldives, Mohamed is the recipient of several awards, including two Gaumee Film Awards, and four Maldives Film Awards. She holds the record for collecting all three Maldives Film Awards for Best Actress in a feature film. In 2011, the Government of Maldives honoured her with the National Award of Recognition. Ravee Farooq is a Maldivian actor, director, editor and choreographer. Career Farooq made his film debut with Abdul Faththaah-directed romantic disaster film, '' Hureemey Inthizaarugaa'' (2005) cast along with Mariyam Zuhura, Waleedha Waleed, Ibrahim Jihad and Neena Saleem. The film, heavily relied on the effect of the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake on the Maldives, received favorable reviews from critics though it failed to perform financially. Ali Seezan
Ali Seezan (born 6 February 1977) is a Maldivian film actor, editor, director and producer. He has established a career in Maldives Film Industry and is a recipient of two National Film Awards. Early life Ali Seezan was born on 6 February 1977. His parents Fathimath Waheeda and Abdul Rasheed are not active members of the film industry, though his father has worked in arranging stage shows for many events. Fauziyya Hassan
Fauziyya Hassan (8 January 1942 – 31 August 2022) was a Maldivian film actress. She made her film debut in ''Sidha'' in 1985. In 1994 she was arrested by the Indian police on espionage charges relating to the Indian Space Research Organisation. She and a friend were accused of passing sensitive defence information to Pakistan. The espionage case against Hassan was not proven and eventually other charges were dropped, though she spent three years in prison under the National Security Act. After her release Hassan appeared in a number of television dramas and films, including a run of horror films in the early 2000s. Hamdhan Farooq (born 3 June 1983) is a Maldivian film actor. Early life Farooq was born on 3 June 1983 in Ga. Dhaandhoo. Ali Shameel is a Maldivian film actor and director. Ibrahim Zaid Ali
Ibrahim Zaid Ali (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Kuda Ibbe is a Maldivian singer and music composer. Early life and career Since childhood, Ali had been listening to all genres of songs from Bollywood classical to hip-hop to heavy metal music. At the age of seven, Ali fabricated music equipment including guitar and drum using wood, plywood and tin, where he used these self-made instruments to perform songs in the football stadium. Mohamed Abdul Ghanee (born 15 April 1978), commonly known as Theyravaa is a Maldivian singer and songwriter. Early life and career Born to a musical family, Ghanee had no interest in music even when his siblings spend their time in jamming and singing. While studying at Madhrasathul Ifthithaah, he participated in the Inter-house singing competition, on a request by his elder brother.
