Amjad Ibrahim
Amjad Ibrahim Didi (born 11 September 1967), commonly known as Amjad Ibrahim is a Maldivian film director and screenwriter. Early life After completing eleven years of service in Maldives National Defence Force, Ibrahim decided to pursue a career in film direction due to his "fondness" towards film-making process. His first work as a director was Naifaru Dhohokko's video single "Maslahathu Neiy An'binney", followed by directing six songs for the television program, ''Maazeege Handhaan''. His first television drama, ''Maaburuge Usoolu'' was released in 1995 produced by the Maldives National Defence Force. ''Ainbehge Loabi Firiehge Vaajib'' is a 2000 Maldivian drama film directed by Amjad Ibrahim. Produced by Shiham Rasheed under Motion Picture, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu, Jamsheedha Ahmed and Arifa Ibrahim in pivotal roles. Plot Julia (Jamsheedha Ahmed) is being ill-treated by her step-mother Zahidha (Arifa Ibrahim), who is looking after Julia after her father's death. ''Sandhuravirey 2'' is a 2004 Maldivian horror film directed by Amjad Ibrahim and the sequel to his previous horror film ''Sandhuravirey'' (2002). Produced by Ahmed Sharan Hassan under Dash Studio, the film stars Yoosuf Shafeeu and Mariyam Nisha reprising their role as Dhiyash and Yaasha respectively. Shafeeu also played the role of their son, while Niuma Mohamed, Zeenath Abbas and Mohamed Shavin were added to the cast. Aminath Rasheedha
Aminath Rasheedha (born 27 February 1967) is a Maldivian actress and director. Career 1993–2006: Early releases and directorial debut In 1995, Rasheedha appeared in Mohamed Shiyaz's '' Dhushman'' which features Hussain Sobah, Mariyam Nisha and Hamid Ali in pivotal roles. In the film, she plays the role Seema, a sympathetic doctor who falls in love with a blind man. Fauziyya Hassan
Fauziyya Hassan (8 January 1942 – 31 August 2022) was a Maldivian film actress. She made her film debut in ''Sidha'' in 1985. In 1994 she was arrested by the Indian police on espionage charges relating to the Indian Space Research Organisation. She and a friend were accused of passing sensitive defence information to Pakistan. The espionage case against Hassan was not proven and eventually other charges were dropped, though she spent three years in prison under the National Security Act. After her release Hassan appeared in a number of television dramas and films, including a run of horror films in the early 2000s. She afterwards appeared in a number of romantic dramas including '' Vaaloabi Engeynama'', for which she was nominated for best supporting actress at the 2008 Gaumee Film Awards.
