Vadodara Lok Sabha Constituency
Vadodara (formerly Baroda Lok Sabha constituency) ( gu, વડોદરા લોકસભા મતવિસ્તાર) is one of the 26 Lok Sabha (lower house of Indian parliament) constituencies in Gujarat, a state in Western India. This constituency covers 7 out of 10 Vidhan Sabha constituencies of Vadodara district and first held elections in 1957 as Baroda Lok Sabha constituency in erstwhile Bombay State (present day Gujarat). It has been known as Vadodara since the 2009 elections. Its first member of parliament (MP) was Fatehsinghrao Gaekwad of the Indian National Congress (INC) who was also re-elected in the next elections in 1962. He was the Maharaja of Baroda of the Gaekwad dynasty at the time. P. C. Patel of the Swatantra Party won the election in 1967. Ranjanben Dhananjay Bhatt
Ranjanben Dhananjay Bhatt (born 10 August 1962) is an Indian politician and a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party. She has been a member of 16th and 17th Lok Sabha. Career Bhatt was a Deputy Mayor of Vadodara. She is credited with running and heading the "Women's Club" for the last 22 years. She was elected to the 16th Lok Sabha from the Vadodara constituency in the 2014 bye-elections. In the 16th Lok Sabha, Bhatt has been a member of the Consultative Committee, Ministry of Water Resources, River Development and Ganga Rejuvenation. Sita (; ) also called as Janaki and Vaidehi is a Hindu goddess and the female protagonist of the Hindu epic, ''Ramayana''. Ranjitsinh Pratapsinh Gaekwad
Ranjitsinhrao Gaekwad (8 May 1938 – 10 May 2012) was an Indian politician. Early life and education Born 8 May 1938 at Ootacamund, Ranjitsinhrao Gaekwad was the second son of Maharaja Pratap Singh Rao Gaekwad (r. 1939–1951), and Maharani Shantadevi Gaekwad (d. 2002), daughter of Sardar Hausrkar Mansinhrao Subbarao of Hasur in Kolhapur. Her daughter, Mrunalini Devi Puar was the Chancellor of The Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. He also obtained post graduate degree in fine arts from Maharaja Sayajirao University of Baroda. He was the younger brother of Fatehsinghrao Gaekwad, who was the titular Maharaja of Baroda from 1951 to 1971.
