Vyšné Opátske ( hu, Szilvásapáti) is a borough (city ward) of Košice, Slovakia. Located in the Košice IV district, it lies at an altitude of roughly above sea level, and borders the boroughs of Old Town, Dargovských hrdinov, Košická Nová Ves, Krásna, Nad jazerom and Košice-Juh. Vyšné Opátske has a mostly rural character, with a population of nearly 2,500 inhabitants. History The village of Vyšné Opátske first appeared in written records in 1344. In the 20th century, Vyšné Opátske lost village municipality status and was annexed to Košice as one of its boroughs. Slovak Car Registration Plates
Vehicles registered in Slovakia are generally assigned to one of the districts ('' okres'') and since 1997, the licence plate coding ( sk, EČV, evidenčné číslo vozidla) generally consists of seven characters and takes the form XX-NNNLL, where XX is a two letter code corresponding to the district, NNN is three digit number and LL are two letters (assigned alphabetically). Dargovských hrdinov (literally: "(Borough) of the Dargov Heroes", hu, Dargói Hősök lakótelep), commonly referred to as Furča after the hill it is built upon, is a borough (city ward) of Košice, Slovakia, located in the Košice III district. Located largely on the side of a hill named Furča, the vast majority of the Dargovských hrdinov borough consists of housing, built mainly in the form of panelhouses. There are little to no industrial structures or activities in the borough, which is one of the largest residential developments built in Slovakia during the Communist era. Košická Nová Ves ( hu, Kassaújfalu) is a borough (city ward) of Košice, Slovakia. Located in the Košice III district, it lies at an altitude of roughly above sea level. History The first written record of Košická Nová Ves is from 1297. In that year, St Ladislaus' Church was built there. St Ladislaus Church has kept the same patron saint to this day. Nad jazerom, officially Košice – mestská časť Nad jazerom, shortened to Košice-Nad jazerom (literally: "Košice – borough Above the Lake", hu, Tóvárosi lakótelep) is a borough (city ward) of Košice, Slovakia.
