Vologne
The Vologne () is a river of the Vosges department in France. It is a right tributary of the Moselle. Its source is in the Vosges Mountains, on the northwestern slope of the Hohneck. It flows through the lakes of Retournemer and Longemer, and passes the villages of Xonrupt-Longemer, Granges-sur-Vologne, Lépanges-sur-Vologne and Docelles, finally flowing into the Moselle in Pouxeux. Geography The source of the Vologne is within the Jardin d'altitude du Haut Chitelet. It flows through the lake of Retournemer and Lac de Longemer before receiving the Jamagne, a spillway of Lac de Gérardmer. It flows by Granges-sur-Vologne, receives the Corbeline, the Neuné (south of Bruyères) and the Barba at Docelles, then flows into the Moselle at Jarménil, 10 km upstream of Épinal. Neuné
The Neuné is a river which flows in the Vosges department of France. It is a right tributary of the Vologne, and therefore a sub-tributary of the Moselle. It is long. Geography The Neuné rises within the commune of Gerbépal in the '' parc naturel régional des Ballons des Vosges'', which also contains a part of its length. It flows first to the north-west, then towards the west, and finally towards the south-west where it joins the right bank of the Vologne, at the level of the small settlement of Champ-le-Duc. The Neuné's principal tributary is the B'Heumey, which joins with it in the commune of Chapelle-Devant-Bruyères. Jamagne
The Jamagne is a short river of , an emissary of the lac de Gérardmer which is its source. It flows into the Vologne as a left tributary at Kichompré. Etymology The name Jamagne came from ''Ja-magna'' meaning "already big" by analogy with its outlet from the lake. Geography The course of the Jamagne is largely canalized and rectilinear when it flows through the Gérardmer area, following the construction of Route nationale 417 in 1950. The river suffered from serious domestic pollution until 1998. When the Cleurie river valley was blocked by Würmian moraine in a double vallum thick, the waters of the Hohneck massif stopped flowing towards le Tholy and accumulated upstream of the deposit, forming the lac de Gérardmer. With no outlet to the west, the waters left the lake in the opposite direction to their historic one, via the Jamagne, which flows into the Vologne downstream of the hamlet of Kichompré. The Jardin d'altitude du Haut Chitelet (1.5 hectares) is a botanical garden specializing in high-elevation alpine plants, located at about 1220 metres elevation on the Route des Crêtes, near the peak of Hohneck (Vosges), about 1 km south of the Col de la Schlucht in Vosges, Lorraine, France. It is maintained by the Jardin botanique du Montet and the ''Conservatoire et Jardins Botaniques de Nancy'', open daily in the warmer months; an admission fee is charged. Pouxeux
Pouxeux () is a commune in the Vosges department in Grand Est in northeastern France. Inhabitants are called ''Pexéens''. Geography Pouxeux lies on the left bank of the Moselle, opposite its confluence with the little river Vologne. Remiremont is upstream to the south-southeast, and Épinal is downstream to the northwest. Pouxeux station has rail connections to Épinal, Remiremont and Nancy. History Before the French Revolution, Pouxeux fell within the territory of Arches, under the bailiwick of Remiremont.
