Vladimír Hubáček
Vladimír Hubáček (28 August 1932 – 2 September 2021) was a Czech rally driver. Biography From the 1950s to the 1970s, Hubáček competed in rally cars such as the Škoda Octavia, the Renault 8 Gordini, and the Alpine A110. He won a total of 25 races, including the Barum Czech Rally Zlín three times. He was six-time champion of the , five of which came in the Lotus 41. Nechanice
Nechanice (; german: Nechanitz) is a town in Hradec Králové District in the Hradec Králové Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,300 inhabitants. Administrative parts Villages of Komárov, Lubno, Nerošov, Sobětuš, Staré Nechanice, Suchá and Tůně are administrative parts of Nechanice. Geography Nechanice is located about west of Hradec Králové. It lies in the East Elbe Table. The highest point is the hill Jedlický vrch at above sea level. History The first written mention of Nechanice is from 1228. In 1867, it was promoted to a town. Nechanice lost the town status in 1949, but it was restored in 1992. Sights The landmark of Nechanice is the Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary. The original church, which was as old as the town, was completely destroyed by a fire in 1827. The current Empire style church replaced it in 1833. The Renault 8 (Renault R8 until 1964) and Renault 10 are two rear-engined, rear-wheel drive small family cars produced by the French manufacturer Renault in the 1960s and early 1970s. The 8 was launched in 1962, and the 10, a more upmarket version of the 8, was launched in 1965. The Renault 8 ceased production and sales in France in 1973. Alpine A110
The Alpine A110 is a sports car produced by French automobile manufacturer Alpine from 1963 to 1977. The car was styled as a " berlinette", which in the post-WWII era refers to a small enclosed two-door berline, better-known as a coupé. The Alpine A110 succeeded the earlier A108. The car was powered by a succession of Renault engines. A car also named Alpine A110 was introduced in 2017. The Barum Czech Rally Zlín (also called Barum Rallye and Barum Rally Zlín), is a tarmac rally held in Zlín, Czech Republic. It is currently part of the European Rally Championship and previously has been part of the Intercontinental Rally Challenge. Founded in 1971, it has been a round of the Czechoslovakia Rally Championship in its earliest days. The Cup of Peace and Friendship (also Friendship of Socialist Countries Cup) was the auto racing championship series dedicated to Eastern Bloc drivers between 1963 and 1990.
