Viva El Lunes
''Viva el lunes'' (English: ''Live the Monday'') was a Chilean TV show, broadcast on Canal 13 for 11 seasons, that aired from October 16, 1995, to January 29, 2001. The TV hosts were Miss Universe 1987 and ex-newsreader Cecilia Bolocco, comedian Álvaro Salas, and businessman and TV host Kike Morandé. After the end of the show, Morandé went to Mega, where he began a late night show, ''Morandé con Compañía'', followed by Salas. The Studio 3 that was used by ''Viva el Lunes'' today is called "Gonzalo Bertrán Studio", in honor of the show's director, who died on January 30, 2001, one day after the last episode. This studio was used by other late night shows such as ''Nace una estrella'' (2000-2001), ''El lunes sin falta'' (2001), ''Por fin es lunes'' (2002-2003), ''Aquí se pasa Mundial'' (2002), ''Vértigo'' (2003-2008), and ''Mucho Lucho'' (2003-2006). Álvaro Reinaldo Salas Carvajal (born 27 December 1952) is a Chilean comedian and television personality. Biography He was born in the port city of Valparaíso. He spent his childhood on the San Juan de Dios Hill, where he began to develop his humor. Then, Salas joined to study Pedagogy in Music at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso (PUCV). It was there that in 1975 he joined some friends to form the humorous group «Pujillay», whose initial goal was to help his parents pay their fees for their careers. Cecilia Carolina Bolocco Fonck (born May 19, 1965) is a Chilean actress, TV host, and beauty queen who was crowned Miss Universo Chile 1987 and Miss Universe 1987. Bolocco has worked as a journalist on the Spanish language edition of CNN, on Telemundo and on various programs for Chilean Television and she acted on the soap opera ''Morelia''. It was launched on 21 August 1959, on VHF channel 2 of Santiago, in a broadcast led by a group of engineers from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile.
