Personal life

Salas has been married to Maritza Soto since 1989 and has two daughters: Paola (1985), in a pre-marital relationship, Catalina (1994), Maritza's daughter, and Matías, from an extra-marital relationship.


Controversies

Being married, he had a secret love affair with the former vedette and actress Tatiana Merino, which was publicly discovered in 2003. Similarly, he had another parallel relationship with a woman, from whom a male child was born which he saw irregularly.
