Viseu
Viseu () is a city and municipality in the Centro Region of Portugal and the capital of the district of the same name, with a population of 100,000 inhabitants, and center of the Viseu Dão Lafões intermunipical community, with 267,633 inhabitants. Settled during the period of the early Iberian Castro culture, the territory of Viseu was populated by a series of cultures including the Romans, Suebs, Visigoths and Moors. During the Roman occupation of Iberia, Viriathus, rebel leader of the Lusitanians, is assumed to have lived for a time in the vicinity. Portimão Airport
Portimão Airport is a small airport in ''Montes de Alvor'', near the city of Portimão in Algarve, Portugal. The airport has one single short asphalt runway in the 11/29 direction and is mainly used by general aviation, with parachuting being common from the airfield. The local mayor of Portimão, Ilse Gomes, revealed plans to expand the aerodrome and have it become a landing spot for the nearby Algarve International Racetrack (AIA). During the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the airport, on August 27, 2021, she said that "the aerodrome should become even bigger and more operational in order to respond more effectively to its needs and create a link with the AIA".
