Viktor Poletaev
Viktor Evgenyevich Poletaev ( rus, Виктор Евгеньевич Полетаев, , ˈvʲiktər pəlʲɪˈta(ɪ̯)ɪf; born 27 July 1995) is a Russian volleyball player. He is a member of the Russia men's national volleyball team and Russian club Zenit Saint Petersburg. Career National team In 2012–2013 he was a member of Russia men's national volleyball team U19. In 2013 he won with this team his first medal at European Championship U19 and he received individual award for ''Most valuable player''. Then he achieved a title of World Champion U19 and he was ''Best opposite spiker''. In the same year he went to team Russia U21, where as 18 year old player achieved gold at World Championship U21 and title of ''Most valuable Player''. In 2014 gained title of European Champion U21. Chelyabinsk
Chelyabinsk ( rus, Челя́бинск, p=tɕɪˈlʲæbʲɪnsk, a=Ru-Chelyabinsk.ogg; ba, Силәбе, ''Siläbe'') is the administrative center and largest city of Chelyabinsk Oblast, Russia. FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Boys' U19 World Championship, called the FIVB Volleyball Boys' Youth World Championship between 2007 and 2011, is the world championship of volleyball for male players under the age of 19 organized by ''Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' ( FIVB). The first edition was staged in 1989 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates and tournaments have been played every two years since then. The most recent tournament was hosted by Iran in the city of Tehran and won by Poland. Brazil is the most successful nation in the tournament's history, with six titles and one runner-up. FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship
The FIVB Volleyball Men's Club World Championship is an international men's club volleyball competition organised by the '' Fédération Internationale de Volleyball'' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The competition was first contested in 1989 in Italy. It was not held between 1993 and 2008, but since 2009, the competition has been held every year, and has been hosted by Qatar and Brazil except in 2017 and 2018 where both hosted by Poland. The 2015–16 CEV Champions League was the 57th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams Format League round 28 teams have been drawn to 7 pools of 4 teams each. In each pool, the competition is organised on the basis of a double round-robin system. Each team will thus play 6 matches: twice against each opponent. In the League Round, the placing of the teams is determined by the number of matches won. CEV Champions League
The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split in to 5 groups. Russia Men's National Volleyball Team
The Russia men's national volleyball team is governed by the Russian Volleyball Federation and took part in international volleyball competitions. FIVB considers Russia as the inheritor of the records of Soviet Union (1948–1991) and CIS (1992). The USSR Volleyball Federation joined the FIVB in 1948, a year after the foundation of the international governing body. Volleyball
Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules. It has been a part of the official program of the Summer Olympic Games since Tokyo 1964. Beach volleyball was introduced to the programme at the Atlanta 1996. The adapted version of volleyball at the Summer Paralympic Games is sitting volleyball. The complete set of rules is extensive, but play essentially proceeds as follows: a player on one of the teams begins a 'rally' by serving the ball (tossing or releasing it and then hitting it with a hand or arm), from behind the back boundary line of the court, over the net, and into the receiving team's court.
