2015–16 CEV Champions League
The 2015–16 CEV Champions League was the 57th edition of the highest level European volleyball club competition organised by the European Volleyball Confederation. Participating teams Format League round 28 teams have been drawn to 7 pools of 4 teams each. In each pool, the competition is organised on the basis of a double round-robin system. Each team will thus play 6 matches: twice against each opponent. In the League Round, the placing of the teams is determined by the number of matches won. In case of a tie in the number of matches won by two or more teams, they will be ranked on the basis of the following criteria: *match points; *set quotient (the number of total sets won divided by the number of total sets lost); *points quotient (the number of total points scored divided by the number of total points lost); *results of head-to-head matches between the teams in question. CEV Champions League
The CEV Champions League is the top official competition for men's volleyball clubs from the whole of Europe. The competition is organised every year by the European Volleyball Confederation. Formula (2018–19 to present) Qualification A total of 20 teams participate in the main competition, with 18 teams being allocated direct vacancies on the basis of ranking list for European Cup Competitions, and 2 teams from the qualification rounds. League round 20 teams take part in the League round where they are split in to 5 groups. After each match the following points are assigned: * Winner (3:0 or 3:1) – 3 points * Winner (3:2) – 2 points * Loser (2:3) – 1 point * Loser (1:3 or 0:3) – 0 points Each pool will be contested in a six-leg double round-robin home-and-away format. OK Budvanska Rivijera Budva was a professional volleyball team based in Budva, Montenegro, founded in 1978. It played in the Montenegrin Volleyball League. The club was dissolved in 2017. History The club was founded in 1978 as Avala Budva and took part in the 1982 regional championship of the Republic of Montenegro. From 1982 the team played in the second division of the SFR Yugoslavia. In 1991–92 the team finished in third place in the playoffs of the second division, but was still promoted due to the dissolution of the team Jugoslavija in the first division. Because of the disintegration of SFR Yugoslavia, the volleyball league was also reorganized and Avala was relegated to the B Division of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia. ACH Volley is a Slovenian men's volleyball club based in Ljubljana that competes in the Slovenian League. They play their home matches at Tivoli Hall. The club was founded in 1970 and was based in Bled until 2011, when the team relocated to Ljubljana. ACH have won the Slovenian championship a record 18 times, including 16 consecutive titles between 2005 and 2020. VK Dukla Liberec ( cz, Volejbalový Klub Dukla Liberec) is a Czech volleyball club based in Liberec. The club was born in 1948 in Prague, and in its history changed its headquarters several times: in 1957 it moved from the Czechoslovak capital to the town of Kolín, in 1966 to Jihlava, and finally in 1969 settled permanently in Liberec. The words ''Dukla'' is the amount of Czech ''CSKA'', in fact represented the formation, in the years of Soviet control, the army of Czechoslovakia. VfB Friedrichshafen Volleyball GmbH is a German professional men's volleyball club founded in 1969 and based in Friedrichshafen, southern Baden-Württemberg. Main stakeholder is VfB Friefdrichshafen e.V. The club plays in the German Bundesliga and the CEV Champions League. The team won the 2006–07 CEV Champions League title.
