Viktor Chanov
Viktor Viktorovych Chanov ( uk, Віктор Вікторович Чанов; 21 July 1959 – 8 February 2017) was a Ukrainian football goalkeeper. Throughout the 1980s in the former USSR, Chanov played mainly for FC Dynamo Kyiv. Club career Chanov was born in Stalino, Ukrainian SSR, Soviet Union. He joined the local club Shakhtar Donetsk at an early age, along with his brother Vyacheslav, also a goalkeeper. During the late 1970s to early 1980s Chanov performed exceptionally well and attracted the attention of the great Dynamo Kyiv. He transferred to Dynamo to compete for the number 1 jersey with Mykhaylo Mykhaylov, another goalkeeper of massive potential. Initially, the moustached Chanov ousted Mikhailov and forced his way also into the USSR squad for the 1982 FIFA World Cup in Spain, as second choice behind Rinat Dasaev. Vyacheslav Viktorovich Chanov (russian: Вячеслав Викторович Чанов; born 23 October 1951) is a Russian football coach and a former goalkeeper. International career Chanov played his only game for USSR on 28 March 1984 in a friendly against West Germany, and he was the team captain in that game. The Canada men's national soccer team (french: Équipe du Canada de soccer masculin) represents Canada in international soccer competitions since 1924. 1986 FIFA World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978). Giora Antman ( he, גיורא אנטמן; born 15 November 1962) is a former Israeli football player and currently the goalkeeping coach at Maccabi Haifa. Antman was the goalkeeping coach at Maccabi Haifa for 18 years until he was replaced in 2012 by Avi Peretz. Shlomo Scharf ( he, שלמה שרף; born 1 January 1943) is a former Israeli football player and manager who now works as a regular commentator on Israeli Sport 5 TV channel. Scharf managed Maccabi Haifa to three championships, and was Israel national football team manager from 1992 to 1999. The UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was a European football club competition contested annually by the winners of domestic cup competitions. The cup was, chronologically, the second seasonal inter-European club competition organised by UEFA.
