Viktor Bondar
Viktor Vasylyovych Bondar ( uk, Ві́ктор Васи́льович Бо́ндар ; russian: Виктор Васильевич Бондарь, Viktor Vasil'evich Bondar) is a Ukrainians, Ukrainian politician, People's Deputy of Ukraine, a member of Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada) of the 7th and 8th convocations, the Minister of Transport and Communication of Ukraine (2005–2006), and the Head of Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration (2007–2010). Since June 5, 2015, Victor Bondar has been the chairman of the political party Revival Party (Ukraine), Revival. On September 5, 2017, he became the head of the parliamentary group of the Revival party. After the 2019 Ukrainian parliamentary election Bondar became co-faction leader of the parliamentary group "For the Future (political party), For the Future". Revival ( uk, «Відродження», the name can also be translated as ''Renaissance'') is a political party in Ukraine, established in its current form in June 2015. Its predecessor had been founded by Heorhiy Kirpa in 2004. 2019 Ukrainian Parliamentary Election
Snap elections to the Ukrainian parliament were held on 21 July 2019. Originally scheduled to be held at the end of October, these elections were brought forward after newly inaugurated President of Ukraine, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy dissolved parliament on 21 May 2019, during his inauguration. The election result was the one-party majority, a novelty in Ukraine, for President Zelenskyy's Servant of the People party with 254 seats. About 80 percent of the elected candidates were new to parliament; 83 deputies managed to get reelected from 8th Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada, the previous parliament and 13 deputies from earlier convocations. All deputies from Servant of the People were political newcomers. 61 percent of the new MPs had never before been engaged in politics. Early life and education Viktor Baloha was born on 15 June 1963 in the village Zavydovo, Mukachevo district, Zakarpattia Oblast, to Ivan Pavlovych Baloha and Mariya Vasilivna Baloha.
