Viimsi Staadion
Viimsi staadion was a football and rugby stadium in Haabneeme, Viimsi Parish, Estonia, just outside the capital Tallinn with the capacity of 2,000. The stadium was formerly used by a now-defunct Lantana Tallinn football club. The pitch size was 105 by 70 metres. As of 2007 the stadium was home to the Tallinn Rugby Football Club and the temporary home of the Estonian National Rugby Union team via cooperation between the Estonian Rugby Union and Nord West Kinnisvara OÜ. Haabneeme
Haabneeme is a small borough ( et, alevik) in Viimsi Parish, Harju County, in northern Estonia alongside Viimsi. It's located about northeast of the centre of Tallinn, on the eastern coast of Tallinn Bay. With a population of 5,634 ( 2011 Census), Haabneeme is the largest settlement in the municipality. Haabneeme was first mentioned in 1271 as ''Apones''. During the Middle Ages Haabneeme was settled by Coastal Swedes. In the 1960s, Haabneeme garden city developed on both sides of the Rohuneeme road in the north. The central settlement was built from the 1960s to 1980s as the centre of the Kirov Fishing Kolkhoz (named after Sergey Kirov). In 1973 a new administrative building was opened. The shopping centre was built in 1976, hospital-polyclinic in 1979. Estonia National Rugby Union Team
The Estonia national rugby union team is governed by the Estonian Rugby Union, which oversees all rugby union in Estonia. As of October 2014 they have played only a handful of matches, but have qualified for the 2014–16 European Nations Cup Third Division. History A combined Estonia/ Latvia side took on a Swedish representative side in the late 1990s, but a proper national team only started playing in August 2009, touring England and playing two matches, losing both. They came up against Kent club Tonbridge Juddians in their first match, coming out at the wrong end of a 94–7 scoreline. Lantana Tallinn
FC Lantana Tallinn is a defunct Estonian football club. Lantana won the Estonian Meistriliiga in 1996 and 1997. The club was dissolved after the 1999 season. History Lantana Tallinn entered Estonian footballing parlance when the Belov family bought out the pre-existing Nikol Tallinn in late 1994. Their original colours were black and white striped shirts, with black shorts and socks, although they changed these to sky blue and royal blue following the 1998 season. The new side enjoyed near instant success, finishing second in their first season and winning the Meistriliiga title in 1995–96.
