Veronika Sergeyevna Stepanova (russian: Вероника Сергеевна Степанова; born 4 January 2001) was a Russian cross-country skier who competed internationally with the Russian national team. Career Stepanova competed at three Junior World Championships from 2019 to 2021, winning individual gold in the 5 km freestyle technique in 2021, and two silver medals with the relay team in 2019 and 2021. She represented Russian Olympic Committee athletes at the 2022 Winter Olympics in the individual sprint and won a gold medal in the women's 4 × 5 kilometre relay. Yelizovo (russian: Е́лизово) is a town in Kamchatka Krai, Russia, located on the Avacha River northwest of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. Natalya Mikhaylovna Nepryayeva (russian: Наталья Михайловна Непряева; born 6 September 1995) is a Russian cross-country skier. She participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics as part of the Olympic Athletes from Russia team and 2022 Winter Olympics as part of the Russian Olympic Committee team, winning a total of four medals, including a gold in the 4 × 5 km relay. The women's 30 kilometre freestyle competition in cross-country skiing at the 2022 Winter Olympics was held on 20 February, at the Kuyangshu Nordic Center and Biathlon Center in Zhangjiakou. Therese Johaug of Norway became the champion, thereby winning all three individual distance events at these Olympics. She was only second woman to do so after Marja-Liisa Kirvesniemi in 1984.
