Natalya Nepryayeva
Natalya Mikhaylovna Nepryayeva (russian: Наталья Михайловна Непряева; born 6 September 1995) is a Russian cross-country skier. She participated in the 2018 Winter Olympics as part of the Olympic Athletes from Russia team and 2022 Winter Olympics as part of the Russian Olympic Committee team, winning a total of four medals, including a gold in the 4 × 5 km relay. Career Nepryayeva was first included to the Russian national team in 2015. Her breakthrough came in 2018 when she won bronze as part of the Russian relay team. In the 2018–19 season, Nepryayeva became the first Russian female skier to finish in the top 3 of the Tour de Ski. At the 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, Nepryayeva became the first female Russian skier since 2007 to medal in skiathlon (then known as double pursuit). Tver ( rus, Тверь, p=tvʲerʲ) is a city and the administrative centre of Tver Oblast, Russia. It is northwest of Moscow. FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007
The FIS Nordic World Ski Championships 2007 took place 22 February – 4 March 2007 in Sapporo, Japan. It was the second time this city has hosted these championships, having previously done so in the 1972 Winter Olympics. Sapporo was selected as venue by vote at the 43rd FIS World Congress in Portorož, Slovenia, on 6 June 2002. It also marked the third time the championships were hosted outside Europe in a year that did not coincide with the Winter Olympics; it was the first championship held in Asia. 2019 FIS Nordic World Ski Championships
The 41st FIS Nordic World Ski Championships were held from 20 February to 3 March 2019 in Seefeld in Tirol, Tyrol, Austria. It was the second time Seefeld in Tirol hosted the world championships, the event having been hosted there previously in 1985. Host selection Championships was awarded to Seefeld in Tirol in Tyrol in Austria during the FIS Congress from 1–6 June 2014 in Barcelona, Spain. Finalist applicants were Seefeld in Tirol (Austria), Oberstdorf (Germany), Planica (Slovenia) and Almaty (Kazakhstan). Oberstdorf had already applied for 2013, 2015 and 2017, Planica for 2017. Seefeld submitted its candidacy shortly before the deadline. The Austrian winter sports resort had hosted the Championships in 1985, the German resort of Oberstdorf in 1987 and 2005. 2018–19 Tour De Ski
The 2018–19 Tour de Ski was the 13th edition of the Tour de Ski and part of the 2018–19 FIS Cross-Country World Cup. The World Cup stage event began in Toblach, Italy on 29 December 2018 and concluded with the Final Climb stage in Val di Fiemme, Italy, on 6 January 2019. The tour was the first tour starting in Toblach. The overall tours were won for the first time by Ingvild Flugstad Østberg (Norway) and Johannes Høsflot Klæbo (Norway). The opening stage was won by Stina Nilsson of Sweden and Johannes Høsflot Klæbo of Norway. Natalya Nepryayeva won the women's second stage and took over the lead in the overall standings. The men's second stage was won by Sergey Ustiugov, with fellow Russian Alexander Bolshunov taking over the leader's blue bib. Cross-country skiing at the 2018 Winter Olympics was held at the Alpensia Cross-Country Skiing Centre in Pyeongchang, South Korea. The twelve events took place between 10 and 25 February 2018. Qualification A maximum of 310 quota spots were available to athletes to compete at the games. Russian athletes competed at the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing, China, from 4 to 20 February 2022. On 9 December 2019, the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) banned Russia from all international sport for four years, after it was found that data provided by the Russian Anti-Doping Agency had been manipulated by Russian authorities with a goal of protecting athletes involved in its state-sponsored doping scheme. As at the 2018 Winter Olympics, WADA has allowed individual cleared Russian athletes to compete neutrally under the title of "Russian Olympic Committee". Russia later filed an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) against the WADA decision. Competitive cross-country skiing encompasses a variety of race formats and course lengths. Rules of cross-country skiing are sanctioned by the International Ski Federation and by various national organizations. International competitions include the FIS Nordic World Ski Championships, the FIS Cross-Country World Cup, and at the Winter Olympic Games. Such races occur over homologated, groomed courses designed to support classic (in-track) and freestyle events, where the skiers may employ skate skiing.
