Vengeance Day
NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day was the 33rd NXT TakeOver and ninth Vengeance professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and livestreaming event produced by WWE. It was held exclusively for wrestlers from the promotion's NXT brand division. The event took place on February 14, 2021, from the Capitol Wrestling Center, hosted at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida. The event revived WWE's old Vengeance PPV name, thus being the first Vengeance held since 2011. The event's name was also a play on Valentine's Day, as the event was held on the same day as the holiday. It was the first Vengeance event to livestream on the WWE Network, as well as the final NXT TakeOver event to air on the American version of the WWE Network before its merger under Peacock in March. Peter Thomas England (born 9 November 1993) is an English professional wrestler. He is currently signed to WWE, where he performs on the SmackDown brand under the ring name Butch. He is a former WWE United Kingdom Champion and also a former NXT Tag Team Champion alongside Matt Riddle, with whom he also won the 2020 Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic. WWE Vengeance, known as NXT Vengeance Day since 2021, is an American professional wrestling event produced by WWE, a professional wrestling promotion based in Connecticut. The event was originally created in 2001 as a pay-per-view (PPV), when the promotion was still called the World Wrestling Federation (WWF). Since 2021, the event has been held annually in February for WWE's developmental territory, NXT, under the title NXT Vengeance Day which is a reference to the event taking place on or around Valentine's Day. NXT Championship
The NXT Championship is a professional wrestling championship created and promoted by the American professional wrestling promotion WWE. It is defended as the top championship of the NXT brand division, the promotion's developmental territory. Introduced on July 1, 2012, the inaugural champion was Seth Rollins. The current champion is Bron Breakker, who is in his second reign. The title was the first championship established for NXT. The 2023 NXT Vengeance Day was the 11th Vengeance professional wrestling event produced by WWE, and the third annual held for the promotion's NXT brand division. It took place on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina, marking the first major NXT event to be held in North Carolina and the second Vengeance event held at this venue after the 2006 event, when it was formerly known as Charlotte Bobcats Arena; the arena changed its name to Spectrum Center in 2016.
