Velenjak
Velenjak ( fa, ولنجک) is an affluent neighbourhood in the northwest of Tehran, Iran. Velenjak (Also Called Roof of Tehran) is located in the Shemiran area in the northernmost part of Tehran, on the slopes of the Alborz mountain range. It is known for its landscapes, mild climate, mountain air, springs, and wildlife. Velenjak houses many foreign residents, particularly people of South Korean descent who work in the finance and industrial firms throughout Tehran. Tochal Complex
Tochal Complex consists of many recreational and sports facilities located in Velenjak, north of Tehran. Tochal Telecabin (gondola lift) Tochal Telecabin is one of the world's longest gondola lift lines, with a length of 7500 m. The project started in 1974 by Bahman Batmanghelidj and associates and has been open to the public since 1978. It starts at the Velenjak Valley, north of Tehran, at an altitude of 1900 m, and ends at the last station at an altitude of 3740 m, near the main ridge of Mount Tochal. The gondola lift is used to access ski resorts and other recreational centres on the mountain. Shemiran
Shemirān ( fa, شمیران, , also Romanized as Shemīrān or Šemirân), also known as Shemirānāt ( fa, شمیرانات ) is the capital of Shemiranat County, Tehran Province, Iran, but is actually located just north of the borders of Tehran County along Chamran Expressway and Sadr Expressway and it is the northernmost district of the city of Tehran. Shahid Behesti University ( fa, دانشگاه شهید بهشتی , Dāneshgāh-e Shahid Beheshti) (formerly known as the National University of Iran) is a public research university in Tehran, Iran. Benyamin Bahadori ( fa, بنیامین بهادری) is an Iranian pop singer, composer, songwriter and actor. from Tehran, Iran. His first album "85" released in 2006, was a massive commercial success within Iran and with the Iranian diaspora abroad. Gondola Lift
A gondola lift is a means of cable transport and type of aerial lift which is supported and propelled by cables from above. It consists of a loop of steel wire rope that is strung between two stations, sometimes over intermediate supporting towers. The cable is driven by a bullwheel in a terminal, which is typically connected to an engine or electric motor.
