Tochal ( fa, توچال ), is a mountain and ski resort located on the Alborz mountain range, adjacent to the metropolitan area of Tehran in northern Iran. It includes a ridge. Its highest peak, also called ''Tochal'', is at an elevation of . A gondola lift runs from Tehran to the Tochal ski resort and hotel, all as a part of Tochal Complex. Peaks A number of peaks are accessible from the Tochal main ridge or by their own climbing paths. Tochal Complex
Tochal Complex consists of many recreational and sports facilities located in Velenjak, north of Tehran. Tochal Telecabin (gondola lift) Tochal Telecabin is one of the world's longest gondola lift lines, with a length of 7500 m. The project started in 1974 by Bahman Batmanghelidj and associates and has been open to the public since 1978. It starts at the Velenjak Valley, north of Tehran, at an altitude of 1900 m, and ends at the last station at an altitude of 3740 m, near the main ridge of Mount Tochal. The gondola lift is used to access ski resorts and other recreational centres on the mountain. Velenjak ( fa, ولنجک) is an affluent neighbourhood in the northwest of Tehran, Iran. Shirpala Shelter
Shirpala shelter is a mountain shelter positioned in Alborz mountains, north of metropolitan Tehran, Iran. It is situated at the elevation of 2750 meters above sea level and is accessible via a route passing through Sarband, Pas-Ghaleh and Abshar Dogholu. It usually takes 3 to 4 hours to ascend to mount Tochal from this shelter. This shelter was made by Iranian Mountain Climbing Federation with the help of Iranian Boy Scout Association. Gondola Lift
A gondola lift is a means of cable transport and type of aerial lift which is supported and propelled by cables from above. It consists of a loop of steel wire rope that is strung between two stations, sometimes over intermediate supporting towers. The Milad Tower ( fa, برج میلاد ) (lit. Birth Tower), also known as the Tehran Tower ( ), is a multi-purpose tower in Tehran, Iran.
