Vazha Lortkipanidze ( ka, ვაჟა ლორთქიფანიძე; born November 29, 1949) is a Georgian politician, former State Minister of Georgia and Ambassador of Georgia to Russia, member of the Parliament of Georgia, Professor and a true member of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia. Early years Lortkipanidze was born on November 29, 1949, in Tbilisi, Georgia. In 1973, he graduated from Mathematics Department of Tbilisi State University and Moscow Academy of Sciences with bachelor's and then doctoral degrees. In 1983-1986, he was second and then first secretary of Central Committee of Georgian Komsomol during Eduard Shevardnadze's tenure as the First Secretary of Georgian SSR. Vazha-Pshavela ( ka, ვაჟა-ფშაველა), Mononymous person, simply referred to as Vazha ( ka, ვაჟა) (26 July 1861 – 10 July 1915), is the pen name of the Georgians, Georgian poet and writer Luka Razikashvili ( ka, ლუკა რაზიკაშვილი). "Vazha-Pshavela" literally means "a son of Pshavians" in Georgian language, Georgian. Life Vazha-Pshavela was born into a family of clergymen in the little village of Chargali, situated in the mountainous Pshavi province of Eastern Georgia. He graduated from the Transcaucasian Teachers Seminary, Pedagogical Seminary in Gori 1882, where he associated closely with Georgian populists (Russian language, Russian term ''narodniki''). He then entered the faculty of Law of St. Petersburg University (Russia) in 1883, as a non-credit student, but returned to Georgia in 1884 due to financial constraints. Ivan (Vazha) Zarandia ( ab, Уажьа Зарандиа, ka, ვაჟა ზარანდია) was Chairman of the Soviet of Ministers of Abkhazia from May 1992 to December 1993. Early life Zarandia was born on 1 November 1932 in the village of Uakum, where he also went to school and worked on the state farm from 1951 until 1954.
