Vanesa Muñiz
Vanesa Muñiz Rubio (born 18 July 1975) is a retired Spanish rhythmic gymnast. During her time in the national team she won 9 international medals. Biography Vanesa started her sports career at Club Atlético Montemar in Alicante. In 1989 Emilia Boneva selected her to be part of the national senior group, where she remained a starter for the next two years. During that time she would train about 8 hours a day at the Moscardó Gymnasium in Madrid under the orders of Boneva herself and Ana Roncero, who since 1982 had been the national team head coach and group coach respectively, Georgi Neykov was the choreographer. In addition, she would live with all the members of the team in a house in La Moraleja. At the beginning of 1989, she won three silver medals in the DTB-Pokal Karlsruhe tournament. Marta Aberturas Rubio (born 5 July 1974) is a former Spanish rhythmic gymnast. She was World champion in 1991 with the rest of the Spanish group, in addition to achieving numerous other medals with the Spanish national rhythmic gymnastics team. The generation of gymnasts that she joined is known by the nickname of the First Golden Girls. Personal life Aberturas was born in Gijón in 1974, but she moved to Zaragoza in 1981. She began rhythmic gymnastics at the Club Escuela de Gimnasia Rítmica de Zaragoza. In August 1988 she was invited by Emilia Boneva to join the national rhythmic gymnastics team of Spain, of which she would be a part until 1991. 2018 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships
The 2018 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships were held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 10 September to 16 September 2018 at Arena Armeec. The top three countries in the group all-around, Russia, Italy, and Bulgaria won the first three spots for the 2020 Olympic Games. Russia was the most successful nation of the competition with seven of the nine gold medals, and Bulgaria and Italy each won a title. On 11 September, Russia's Dina Averina won the first two gold medals of the competition, in the Hoop (rhythmic gymnastics), hoop and Ball (rhythmic gymnastics), ball event finals. In the hoop final, Linoy Ashram won the silver medal, the best-ever result for Israel at the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, and in the ball final, Alexandra Agiurgiuculese won Italy's first individual medal in twenty-seven years. Benissa (, es, Benisa) is a small town in Spain in the province of Alicante, 275 m above sea level, and one of the oldest towns on the Costa Blanca. Gemma Royo Lorte (born 20 March 1975) is a Spanish retired rhythmic gymnast. She was World champion in 1991 and two-time European champion in 1992.
