Valnesfjord Church ( no, Valnesfjord kirke) is a parish church of the Church of Norway in Fauske Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is located in the village of Straumsnes, Fauske, Straumsnes. It is the church for the Valnesfjord parish which is part of the Salten prosti (deanery) in the Diocese of Sør-Hålogaland. The white, wooden church was built in a Churches in Norway#Floor plan, long church style in 1905 using plans drawn up by the architect K. Tessem. The church seats about 250 people. The building was consecrated on 14 June 1905 the Bishop Peter W. K. Bøckman, Sr., Peter Wilhelm Bøckman. or is a municipality located in Nordland county, Norway. It is part of the traditional district of Salten. The administrative centre of the municipality is the town of Fauske. Some of the villages in Fauske include Nystad, Venset, Straumsnes, and Sulitjelma. The municipality borders Sweden in the east and the municipalities of Sørfold to the north, Bodø to the west, and Saltdal to the southeast. ( no, Skjerstadfjorden) is a fjord in the municipalities of Bodø, Fauske, and Saltdal in Nordland county, Norway. It is a long arm off of the main Saltfjorden. It is connected to the Saltfjorden by the narrow Saltstraumen strait, which has very strong tidal currents. The villages of Valnesfjord and Rognan and the town of Fauske lie along the shores of the fjord. European route E06 runs along the eastern shore of the fjord, and the Nordland Line follows the eastern and northern shores of the fjord. is a town in Fauske Municipality in Nordland county, Norway. It is also the administrative centre of Fauske Municipality. The town is located on the shore of the Skjerstad Fjord, about east of the town of Bodø and about west of the border with Sweden. The lake Nervatnet lies on the southeast side of the town. The town has a population (2018) of 6,304 and a population density of . The town was established as a "town" in 1998 when the municipal council of Fauske Municipality designated it as such. It is the site of the local municipal government. Fauske Church and the Fauske Upper Secondary School are both located in the town as well.
