Valle Mäkelä
Valle Mäkelä (born 2 February 1986, Laitila, Finland) is a Finnish motor racing driver. Career Mäkelä began his kart racing career at the age of five. In 2000 he became Finnish Champion in the ICA-J class. In 2002, he began racing in Formula Ford in both the UK and Nordics with some success. In 2003, he finished 3rd in the British Formula Ford Championship class, winning one race and securing a further seven podiums. Remaining with Nexa Racing, Mäkelä won the 2004 British Formula Ford title with 506 points scored over the season, including ten victories. For 2005, he joined GR Asia in the World Touring Car Championship racing a Seat Toledo alongside Tom Coronel. His best result was a 10th place finish at Silverstone. In 2006, he returned to open wheel racing driving for Manor Motorsport in British Formula Renault. He ended the season in 13th position. Tom Coronel
Tom Romeo Coronel (born 5 April 1972) is a Dutch professional racing driver. Tom's twin brother Tim is also a racer, just like their father Tom Coronel Sr. His most important results are winning the Marlboro Masters of Formula 3 race in 1997, the Formula Nippon championship in 1999, and the 2006 and 2009 World Touring Car Championship Independents' Trophy. As of September 2016, Tom Coronel has driven over 1,000 races. He is currently still racing in the WTCC, where he won his first WTCC race in Okayama, Japan in 2008. After competing as an independent driver in a SEAT for many years Tom switched to BMW in 2011. In 2014 Coronel stays with ROAL Motorsport, but the team switched to Chevrolet Cruzes to be built by RML specially for the new TC1 technical regulations. The Race of UK was the third round of the 2005 World Touring Car Championship season. It was held at the Silverstone Circuit at Silverstone in Britain on May 15, 2005. Gabriele Tarquini won the first race from pole in an Alfa Romeo 1-2-3-4, and Rickard Rydell took a historic first win for SEAT after Andy Priaulx's tyre burst with three laps to go while leading. Morand Racing
Morand Racing is an auto racing team founded by former racing driver Benoît Morand and based in Marly, Switzerland. The team traces its origins to 2000 when Morand founded PoleVision Racing which competed in numerous open-wheel series before switching to sports cars until 2011. The team was reformed as Morand Racing in 2012, and has competed in the European Le Mans Series since 2013 with a Morgan Le Mans Prototype. 2009 Formula Le Mans Cup
The 2009 Formula Le Mans Cup season was the only season of the Formula Le Mans Cup, a support series for the Le Mans Series and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. All competitors utilized the Oreca FLM09 spec prototype. The season featured ten races held over six events from 10 May to 20 September 2009. Nico Verdonck claimed the title ahead of Gavin Cronje, despite the drivers sharing a car all season. Verdonck benefitted from points awarded for pole positions and fastest laps, giving him a four-point advantage of Cronje. Their team, DAMS, also won the teams championship. 2008 Star Mazda Championship
The 2008 Star Mazda Championship was a season of the open wheel racing series the Star Mazda Championship. It consisted of a 12-race schedule beginning in March and ending in October, with only the best eleven race results counting towards the championship. As with 2007, the series featured races exclusively on road and street courses. In addition to the main championship that is typically tested by young, developing drivers, there were also additional class titles for older drivers. John Edwards won the championship ahead of Joel Miller and Peter Dempsey despite missing the first round of the championship. Edwards won four races, the same as Dempsey, but Dempsey had three finishes of 20th or worse, one of which counted in his points total, while Edwards worst points-scoring finish was 4th. Brands Hatch is a motor racing circuit in West Kingsdown, Kent, England, United Kingdom.
