Valentine FC is a semi-professional football club based in Valentine in the Hunter Region, New South Wales and is part of the Valentine Eleebana Football Club. Valentine have been promoted to the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW for 2016 with teams in First Grade, Under 23s, Under 19 and Under 17 divisions. Valentine, New South Wales
Valentine is a suburb of the City of Lake Macquarie in New South Wales, Australia, and is regarded as a part of the Greater Newcastle district. The suburb is from Newcastle's central business district situated along the eastern shoreline of Lake Macquarie. It is a large residential district, with large-scale development commencing in the late 1980s. Valentine is home to number of convenience and specialty shops, including a butcher, post office, GP office, petrol station, newsagent and a bowling club. The Awabakal people were the first people of this area. Valentine was named after Mr Henry Valentine Joseph Geary, a property speculator and company director who grew up in Melbourne, Victoria, and settled in NSW after 1909, speculating in mining. He owned land in Valentine, but lived on the Hawkesbury River, and died there in 1933. Henry Halloran, a surveyor who surveyed the area in 1916, named the area after him. The National Premier Leagues Northern NSW is a regional Australian Professional association football league comprising teams from Northern New South Wales. As a subdivision of the National Premier Leagues, the league sits at Level 1 on the Northern New South Wales league system (Level 2 of the overall Australian league system). The competition is administered by Northern NSW Football, the governing body of the sport in the northern region of the state (the southern region is mostly governed by Football NSW). Prior to 2014, the league was formerly known as the Northern NSW State Football League. Adam Griffiths
Adam Griffiths (born 21 August 1979 in Sydney) is an Australian professional football manager who currently serves as the Assistant Coach of Western Sydney Wanderers. He is a former professional football (soccer) player and Socceroo. Since 2020 he has been Head Coach of National Premiere Leagues NSW side Manly United. In 2022 he turned a difficult season around to come 2nd in the Premiership equal on points to first but missing out by one goal difference. He then took the team into to the Grand Final against Blacktown. Adam was awarded Coach of the year 2022 at the Football NSW Gold Medal Awards. Giancarlo Gallifuoco
Giancarlo Gallifuoco (born 12 January 1994) is an Australian professional footballer who plays as a defender for Malaysia Super League club Kuala Lumpur City. Born in Sydney, Gallifuoco played under 23's football for Tottenham Hotspur and Swansea City before making his professional debut for Melbourne Victory in 2015. In 2016, he returned to England to play for Torquay United. In July 2017, Gallifuoco signed for Dover Athletic. In the Summer of 2018, Gallifuoco joined Serie C side FC Rieti where he remained until December 2018. Gallifuoco played for Australia numerous times at youth level. Daniel Bowles
Daniel Bowles (born 19 October 1991) is a retired A-League Australian professional football (soccer) player. Club career Early career Bowles played all of his junior football in Toowoomba, initially with St Albans Football Club followed by the South Toowoomba Hawks and made his senior debut at 15 with the Toowoomba Raiders who play in the Brisbane Premier League (BPL). Brisbane Roar In 2008, Daniel Bowles signed with Brisbane Roar, participating in the club's inaugural National Youth League season, where the Roar would finish third, just missing out on a spot in the final. Northern NSW Football (NNSWF) is the governing body of soccer in the north of New South Wales, Australia. It is a member of the national governing body, Football Australia. The Federation was established the 9 September 1884 as the Northern District British Football Association. To fall in line with the global football identity, the federation was re-branded to Northern NSW Football on 25 October 2006.
