National Premier Leagues Northern NSW
The National Premier Leagues Northern NSW is a regional Australian Professional association football league comprising teams from Northern New South Wales. As a subdivision of the National Premier Leagues, the league sits at Level 1 on the Northern New South Wales league system (Level 2 of the overall Australian league system). The competition is administered by Northern NSW Football, the governing body of the sport in the northern region of the state (the southern region is mostly governed by Football NSW). Prior to 2014, the league was formerly known as the Northern NSW State Football League. History The league originally started with 12 teams, all with a first grade, reserve grade and youth grade team. The league was then downsized to 10 teams still with all three grades. Lake Macquarie City FC is a football club in Lake Macquarie, New South Wales. The club was formed in 1912 formed by a group of Scottish miners in the area. History Lake Macquarie City Football Club is one of the oldest running football clubs in the Northern NSW region. The club has a strong history and reputation of developing, fostering and producing local players. Throughout its history, the club has been lucky enough to host a number of high-profile matches including Australian National Team games and a friendly game against Tottenham Hotspur FC. Historically LMCFC home kit is Yellow shirt, blue shorts and white socks. Similar to that of the Brazil national team. Recent times have seen the white socks replaced by yellow socks for reasons unknown. Some supporters have been calling for a return to the original white socks. Charlestown Azzurri FC
Charlestown Azzurri FC (formerly Charlestown City Blues FC) is an Australian soccer club based in Whitebridge, a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales. The club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW (NPL NNSW). History Charlestown United was founded in 1900, while Hamilton Azzurri was founded in 1963 which later became Highfields Azzurri during the 1970s. In 2006, Highfields Azzurri became Azzurri FC. In 2009, Football Federation Australia forced Azzurri to change its name. After the 2009 season, the club became Charlestown City Blues FC, when Azzurri FC and Charlestown United merged. In 2014, Charlestown City was accepted into the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW (NPL NNSW). Wanderers Oval, nicknamed Magic Park, is a multi-use sportsground in Newcastle, Australia. It is mainly used for soccer and is the home ground for the Broadmeadow Magic. Adamstown is a suburb of Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia, located from Newcastle's central business district. It is part of the City of Newcastle local government area.
