''UFC 12: Judgement Day'' was a mixed martial arts event held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on February 7, 1997 at the Dothan Civic Center in Dothan, Alabama. The event was seen live on pay per view in the United States, and later released on home video. History UFC 12 was the first UFC event to feature weight classes; heavyweights (200 lb and over) and lightweights (under 200 lb) battled in two separate mini tournaments, each consisting of two semifinal bouts and a finals match. The event also featured a Superfight between Dan Severn and Mark Coleman. The fight would unify the UFC Superfight Championship with the UFC tournament championship and determine the first ever UFC Heavyweight Champion. Tracy Telligman (most often billed as "Tra" Telligman ; born February 7, 1965) is a retired American mixed martial artist and boxer who has fought in the UFC, PRIDE, and Pancrase. He is also known for fighting despite having only one pectoralis major muscle. Background Telligman was born in Dallas, Texas. He was in a car accident when he was only one and a half years old, and as a result, he is missing his right pectoral and also his right lung, leaving a deep recess in his chest. Scott Ferrozzo (born April 26, 1965) is a retired American mixed martial artist, who is perhaps best known for his fights in the early days of the Ultimate Fighting Championship. During his fighting career he participated in UFC 8, UFC 11, and UFC 12. Ferrozzo also happened to be managed by current UFC announcer Bruce Buffer. Career Ferrozzo first participated in the Ultimate Fighting Championship at its UFC 8 event in 1996. He was offered that fight after video tapes of his participation in the Atlanta Pit Fights. He was defeated by Jerry Bohlander via submission in the first round of the UFC 8 tournament. Ismail holds a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) under Carlson Gracie, and is an IVC mixed martial arts world champion and BJJ Champion.
