Uttara Depot
Diabari Depot ( bn, দিয়াবাড়ি ডিপো) is a railway depot of the Dhaka Metro Rail's MRT Line 6, located before Uttara North station in northern Dhaka. It is the first depot on the metro lines of Dhaka, having been built in 2022, when the MRT Line 6 was under construction. On 27 March 2016, DMTCL signed an agreement with Tokyu Construction Ltd for the construction of the line's depot. In September 2016, works related to the construction of the line's depot at Diabari were started. Its construction was complete in June 2022. The depot area also has 52 structures including workshops, washing sheds and storage. Diabari
Diabari ( bn, দিয়াবাড়ি) is a place situated in Uttara, Dhaka. It is a tourist attraction in Uttara. Diabari consists of plain lands of Sectors 15 and 16 in Uttara. Trains of MRT Line 6 starts journey from Diabari area. There is a canal which is 4.34 meters long. According to RAJUK's detailed area plan, there is a plan to build a road from Diabari to Gazipur. Although a wide variety of birds are found here, the number of birds is declining due to man-made disasters. Due to the rural environment in the city, the value of this place has increased among the tourists. Mirpur Road is a long north–south road connecting the northern part of Mirpur and Dhaka University campus. This is one of the major roads in Dhaka. MRT Line 6
The MRT Line 6 ( bn, এমআরটি লাইন ৬) is a line on the Dhaka Metro Rail. Bangladesh's first rapid transit line, it has been in service since 2022. It is an entirely elevated line and currently has 9 stations in service between Uttara North and Agargaon. The line was the result of the proposal of a mass rapid transit system in Dhaka by the Review Committee of the Strategic Transport Plan led by Jamilur Reza Choudhury and the Urban Traffic Formulation Study prepared by the Japan International Cooperation Agency. Its construction started in 2016 that was delayed several times as a result of disagreements about the route, the July 2016 Dhaka attack, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Uttara North Metro Station is a metro rail station under construction by the Dhaka Metro Railway. This station is located in Uttara, a suburb of Dhaka.
