''Utada Hikaru Single Collection Vol. 2'' is Japanese pop music, pop singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada's second compilation album, released on November 24, 2010, by EMI Music Japan, the same day as her Universal Music Group, Universal-released English language compilation album, ''Utada the Best''. The album includes two discs, with the first being a 13-track greatest hits album spanning 2004–2009, while the second is an extended play (named ''Hymne à L'amour'') featuring new material. Along with ''Utada the Best'', this remained Utada's last album release for six years, until 2016's ''Fantôme (album), Fantôme'', due to an announced hiatus. Hikaru Utada
, who is also known by the mononym Utada, is a Japanese-American pop singer, songwriter and producer. By 2010, Utada had become one of the most influential, and best-selling, musical artists in Japan. Born in the United States to Japanese parents, record producer Teruzane Utada and singer Keiko Fuji, Utada began to write music and lyrics at an early age and often traveled to Tokyo as a result of her father's job. The was a record chart that ranks the best selling digital singles in Japan, with data provided by the Recording Industry Association of Japan from April 2009. The chart measures cellphone downloads (着うたフル ''Chaku-Uta Full'') (not downloads from PCs, or ringtones (着うた ''Chaku-Uta'')). On July 27, 2012, the service that tracked the charts was shut down.
