Sorgschrofen
Sorgschrofen is a mountain in the Allgäu Alps of Bavaria, Germany. A lower summit of Sorgschrofen is the Zinken. There is a summit cross on both Sorgschrofen and Zinken. Quadripoint The summit is the only land link Jungholz has to the rest of Austria. A rare occurrence found on the summit is that four borders (two German and two Austrian) meet in a quadripoint: * Bad Hindelang (West, Bavaria, Germany) * Pfronten (East, Bavaria, Germany) * Jungholz (North, Tyrol, Austria) * Schattwald (South, Tyrol, Austria) History The border between this section of Bavaria and Tyrol was defined by the border treaty of 1844, which was complemented in 1850: "Grenzberichtigungsvertrag vom 30. Bad Hindelang
Bad Hindelang is a municipality in the district of Oberallgäu in Bavaria in Germany. As of 2008 it has a population of 4,915. Its sulphur spring was used for cures in the 19th century and today the municipality is a major health resort. Geography The main town of Bad Hindelang lies at an altitude of 825 metres above sea level. The municipality includes the following areas, Bad Hindelang, Vorderhindelang, Bad Oberdorf, Hinterstein, Oberjoch and Unterjoch. Landscape The town hall is a former hunting lodge, built in 1660 by Prince Bishop of Augsburg, Sigismund Franz, Archduke of Tyrol. It was used as a summer residence by the prince bishops of Augsburg until 1805. After the secularization of the palace went over to the state, it then fell into private ownership as a guest house and schoolhouse, until it finally became the town hall of the municipality. An enclave is a territory (or a small territory apart of a larger one) that is entirely surrounded by the territory of one other state or entity. Enclaves may also exist within territorial waters. Jungholz
Jungholz () is a village in the district of Reutte in the Austrian state of Tyrol that is accessible only via Germany. The lack of a road connection to anywhere else in Austria led to Jungholz being included in the German customs area until Austria joined the EU in 1995. It also used the instead of the Austrian schilling as currency until 2002, when the euro took over. Letters to Jungholz can be addressed with either a German or an Austrian postal code. Quadripoint Jungholz forms a pene-exclave of Austria that is connected to the rest of Austria by a single point, which is the summit of the mountain ''Sorgschrofen'' ().
