The United States men's national ice sledge hockey team represents the United States at the IPC World Championships and Paralympic Games. The team is overseen by USA Hockey. USA Hockey
USA Hockey is the national ice hockey organization in the United States. It is recognized by the International Olympic Committee and the United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee as the Sport governing body, governing body for organized ice hockey in the United States and is a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation. Before June 1991, the organization was known as the Amateur Hockey Association of the United States (AHAUS). The organization is based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Its mission is to promote the growth of ice hockey in the U.S. USA Hockey programs support and develop players, coaches, officials, and facilities. Para Ice Hockey At The 2022 Winter Paralympics
The Para ice hockey competition of the 2022 Winter Paralympics was held at the Beijing National Indoor Stadium, China, from 5 to 13 March 2022. A total of seven teams competed in the mixed team tournament. Yu Jing from China has become the third female Para ice hockey player at the Paralympic Games, preceded by Britt Mjaasund Øyen and Lena Schrøder from Norway who previously competed in para ice hockey at the Winter Paralympics. 2008 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships
The 4th IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships were held between March 29, 2008, and April 5, 2008, in Marlborough, Massachusetts, United States, at the New England Sports Center. Organized by Massachusetts Hockey in co-operation with US Paralympics, around 200 athletes from ten countries participated in the 10-team round robin tournament which featured two divisions: six teams in group A and four teams in group B. 2017 World Para Ice Hockey Championships
The 2017 World Para Ice Hockey Championships for A-Pool teams (Canada, Germany, Italy, Norway, South Korea, Sweden, United States) was held in Gangneung, South Korea, from 11 April through 20 April 2017. The opening ceremony was held on 11 April and games were played from 12 April through 20 April, followed by the closing ceremony. This event was previously known as the IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships. On 30 November 2016, the International Paralympic Committee adopted the "World Para" brand across the ten sports it governs, the official name of the sport changed from "sledge hockey" to "Para ice hockey", and the event became the "World Para Ice Hockey Championships". The 2013 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships was the seventh IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships that took place in the SPART Complex in Goyang, South Korea from 12 to 20 April 2013. It was the first time that South Korea hosted the IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships. In the final match, Canada defeated the United States 1–0, to win their third title. 2004 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships
The 3rd International Paralympic Committee, IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships was held between April 13, 2004 and April 24, 2004 at Kempehallen in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. Örnsköldsvik was also the host of the first 1976 Winter Paralympics, Paralympic Winter Games in 1976. Participating countries: 104 athletes from eight nations Canada, Estonia, Germany, Great Britain, Japan, Norway, Sweden, United States. The 2006 Winter Paralympic Games ( it, Giochi paralimpici invernali del 2006), the ninth Paralympic Winter Games, took place in Turin, Italy from 10 to 19 March 2006. The 2002 Winter Paralympics, the eighth Paralympic Winter Games, were held in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, from March 7 to 16, 2002. A total of 416 athletes from 36 nations participated.
