United Kingdom Ambassador To Nicaragua
The ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Nicaragua is the United Kingdom's foremost diplomatic representative in Nicaragua, and in charge of the UK's diplomatic mission in Managua. Until 1945, UK envoys to Guatemala were also accredited to Nicaragua (see List of ambassadors of the United Kingdom to Guatemala), but there were occasionally consular representatives in the country. From 1976 to 1991 and 2004 to 2011 the ambassador to Costa Rica was also accredited to Nicaragua. From 2011 to 2015 the UK had a separate ambassador to Nicaragua, although he was resident in Costa Rica (he was married to the ambassador to Costa Rica). From 2015 the ambassador to Costa Rica is again also accredited to Nicaragua. Quintus Horatius Flaccus (; 8 December 65 – 27 November 8 BC), known in the English-speaking world as Horace (), was the leading Roman lyric poet during the time of Augustus (also known as Octavian). Ross Denny
Ross Patrick Denny (born 1955) is a British diplomat who has been the British Ambassador to Costa Rica and Nicaragua since 2015. He was appointed as ambassador on 3 February 2015 and succeeded Sharon Campbell and Chris Campbell in September that year. Pre-consular career Before joining the Foreign Service, Denny served in the Royal Navy from 1972 until 1979. Consular career Denny joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) in 1979 and first worked in the West Indies and Atlantic Department. In 1980, he was moved to be an Accountant for the British Embassy in Santiago, Chile and stayed there for three years. He was then moved to the British Embassy in Doha, Qatar to be an Assistant Management Officer. Chris Campbell (diplomat)
Christopher John Campbell is a British diplomat who has served as the United Kingdom's ambassador to Ecuador since 13 October 2020. He also served as the ambassador to Nicaragua between 2011 and 2015 and the ambassador to the Dominican Republic between 2015 and 2020. Consular career Campbell joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1982 and started in the North America Department. In 1984, he moved to the Secretary of State's Private Office and the next year was placed to the UK Embassy in Khartoum as an economist. From 1988 he worked at the embassy in Dhaka and from 1992 at the embassy in Jakarta. Campbell served as the Ambassador to Nicaragua from 2011 to 2015. Georgina Butler
Georgina Susan Butler (born 30 November 1945) is a retired British diplomat. After postings at the Foreign Office, UKREP in Brussels, the European Commission, and in Washington D.C., she served as British Ambassador to Costa Rica and to Nicaragua. William Marsden (15 September 1940 – 12 October 2019) was a British diplomat who served as the United Kingdom's Ambassador to Argentina from 1997 to 2000, and to Costa Rica and Nicaragua concurrently from 1989 to 1992.
