United Chirang Duar Football Club is an Indian professional football club based in Chirang, Bodoland, Assam. It is the first professional club from Bodoland to participate in I-League 2 qualifiers. The club was qualified to play in the tournament after beating Elevenstar Club in the qualifying round organised by Assam Football Association. It currently competes in I-League 3 and the Assam State Premier League. History United Chirang Duar FC is established in 2021 in Runikhata village of Chirang in Bodoland Territorial Region in Indian state of Assam. United Chirang Duar has won many trophies in and out of Assam since its formation. I-League 3
I-League 3, or 3rd Division League, is a men's professional football league in India. It forms the fourth tier of the Indian football league system, below the I-League 2 and above the State leagues. History For the first time, the AIFF introduced Qualifiers for I-League 2 in the 2022–23 season. On 13 June 2023, the AIFF league committee announced introducing a new league below the I-League 2, where champions of State leagues and nominated clubs will play. State FAs have to nominate a team before July 31. The AIFF wants to create a competitive pyramid with a concrete progression pathway, aimed to allow even the smallest of clubs to get promoted to the higher divisions. Bordoloi Trophy
The Bordoloi Trophy, also known as the Bharat Ratna Lokopriya Gopinath Bordoloi Trophy, is a premier annual Indian football tournament held in Guwahati and organized by Guwahati Sports Association (GSA). The tournament was first started in 1952 and is named after Assam's first chief minister Gopinath Bordoloi. Apart from some top clubs from India, clubs from Nepal, Bangladesh and Thailand have also participated in this championship. Abahani Limited of Bangladesh lifted the 2010 trophy. Mohun Bagan AC of Kolkata has won the tournament for record seven times. Guwahati Sports Association had announced that the 68th edition of the Bordoloi Trophy football tournament was going to be held from March 24, 2022. Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup
Bodoland Martyrs Gold Cup is a football league cup in the Bodoland Territorial Region, Assam, India, organised by Kokrajhar District Sports Association (KDSA) in memory of Bodoland martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for the cause of Bodoland movement. The 21st edition of the tournament was won by United Chirang Duar FC, Runikatha by defeating Baarhoongkha Athletic Club, Kokrajhar 1–0 in the final, played at Banargaon Jaiklong Sports Club ground. Assam State Premier League
Assam State Premier League (ASPL) is the state-level top division football league in the Indian state of Assam, organised by the Assam Football Association and the Guwahati Sports Association. The inaugural edition of the league started in 2008 with Assam Rifles SC winning its first title. Competition structure The winner of Assam State Premier League gets promoted to I-League 2, and the last position team gets relegated to the Assam Club Championship. From 2015 season the league has been revamped with the new format. The teams have been divided into two zones - Upper Assam and Lower Assam.
