Union Of Czech Youth
The Union of Czech Youth ( cs, Svaz české mládeže, abbreviated SČM) was a youth organization in post-war Czechoslovakia. The organization was founded on Radhošť in July 1945. Originally it functioned as a unified left-wing youth organization, over time the Communist Party of Czechoslovakia gained more influence. SČM had two deputies in the Provisional National Assembly, Hájek and Maleček. As of 1946 SČM claimed to have 7,200 local branches and around half a million members. Membership in the organization declined during 1946 and 1947. The organization published the daily newspaper '' Mladá fronta''. SČM was part of the National Front. Dissolution After 1948 Czechoslovak coup d'état, the communists planned to merge all youth groups fully under one organization. Radhošť
Radhošť () is a mountain in the Czech Republic. It has an elevation of and belongs to the Moravian-Silesian Beskids mountain range. It is located in Dolní Bečva and Trojanovice municipalities in the Zlín and Moravian-Silesian regions, whose border runs along the ridge of the mountain. Buildings and monuments A chapel built in 1898 and a sculpture of Saints Cyril and Methodius are located on the summit to glorify their evangelization of Slavic people. The mountain is a popular destination for religious pilgrimages. The World Federation of Democratic Youth (WFDY) is an international youth organization, and has historically characterized itself as left-wing and anti-imperialist. Czech National Social Party
Czech National Social Party (Czech: ''Česká strana národně sociální'', ČSNS) is a civic nationalist political party in the Czech Republic, that once played an important role in Czechoslovakia during the interwar period. It was established in 1897 by break-away groups from both the national liberal Young Czech Party and the Czech Social Democratic Party, with a stress on achieving independence of the Czech lands from Austria-Hungary (as opposed to the Social Democrats' aim for an international workers' revolution). Its variant of socialism was moderate and reformist rather than a Marxist one.
