Ulu Pandan Depot
Ulu Pandan Depot (Simplified Chinese: 乌鲁班丹车厂; Traditional Chinese: 烏魯班丹車廠) is a depot near Jurong East, Singapore and it serves the trains on the North South line and the East West line. With the opening of Tuas West Depot in 2017, fewer trains were deployed from Ulu Pandan Depot for the East West line, with majority of the trains were for the North South line. It has a capacity of 45 trains and has an area of 130,000 square metres. Train inspections are carried out at this depot. Commuters can have a glimpse of it while on a train between Clementi and Jurong East stations. It is located off Toh Tuck Avenue and sits along Toh Tuck Avenue. Jurong East MRT Station
Jurong East MRT station is an elevated Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) interchange station on the North South (NSL) (which terminates at this station) and East West (EWL) lines in Jurong East, Singapore, operated by SMRT Trains. It is located at the heart of Jurong Lake District, within the vicinity of JCube, Jem, Westgate, IMM, Ng Teng Fong General Hospital and Jurong East Bus Interchange. The station opened on 5 November 1988 as part of the MRT system extension to Jurong. The station was initially the terminus of the Branch line and became the terminus of the NSL after the NSL was merged with the Branch line. Clementi MRT Station
Clementi MRT station is an above-ground Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) station on the East-West Line in Clementi, Singapore. The station will become an interchange station with the Cross Island Line in 2032. The tracks between Clementi station and Jurong East MRT station are the second longest between any two stations on the East West Line; the longest being the tracks between Expo MRT station and Changi Airport MRT station. Jurong East
Jurong East is a planning area and residential town situated in the West Region of Singapore. It borders Jurong West and Boon Lay to the west, Clementi to the east, Tengah and Bukit Batok to the north and Selat Jurong to the south. First developed in the 1970s, it is located approximately west of the Downtown Core district. Jurong East is the 7th most populated planning area in the West Region. East West MRT Line
The East West line (EWL) is a high-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line operated by SMRT in Singapore, running from Pasir Ris station in the east to Tuas Link station in the west, with an additional branch between Changi Airport and Tanah Merah stations. It is the second Mass Rapid Transit line to be built in Singapore. The line is the longest on the MRT network (this title will be given to the Cross Island line upon its complete opening by the 2040s), with 35 stations, 8 of which (from Lavender to Tiong Bahru and Changi Airport stations) are underground. North South MRT Line
The North-South line (NSL) is a high-capacity Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) line in Singapore, operated by SMRT Corporation. Coloured red on the Singapore rail map, the line is long and serves 27 stations, 11 of which, between the Bishan and Marina South Pier stations, are underground. It runs from Jurong East station, located in Western Singapore, to Marina South Pier station in the Central Area, via Woodlands station in northern Singapore. The Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CRRC Qingdao Sifang C151C is the sixth generation electric multiple unit rolling stock in operation on the North South line of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, manufactured by a consortium of Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) and CRRC Qingdao Sifang under Contract 151C. Twelve trains were purchased. They were delivered between 2017 and 2019, and were tested before the full service in 2019. The first was delivered on 27 October 2017. The interior design was unveiled on 28 February 2018 at Tuas Depot with two trains showcased. SMRT Trains
SMRT Trains Limited is a rail operator in Singapore and a wholly owned subsidiary of SMRT Corporation. After the privatisation of the MRT operations in 1995, it was originally named Singapore MRT Limited. On 31 December 2001, it was renamed to SMRT Trains Limited, so as not to confuse with another MRT line - North East MRT Line that is under Singapore Bus Services and the bus operations merged from Trans-Island Bus Services. The Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CSR Qingdao Sifang C151B is the fifth generation electric multiple unit rolling stock in operation on the North South and East West lines of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) & CRRC Qingdao Sifang under Contract 151B. 45 trains were purchased and all of them have been delivered to Singapore as of 12 April 2017. SMRT took delivery of the first 2 train cars on 21 May 2015. These trains increased frequency for the two MRT lines, North South line and East West line. The Kawasaki Heavy Industries & CSR Qingdao Sifang C151A is the fourth generation electric multiple unit rolling stock in operation on the North South and East West lines of Singapore's Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) system, manufactured by Kawasaki Heavy Industries (KHI) and CRRC Qingdao Sifang under Contract 151A. Their introduction to the network has increased the capacity of both lines by 15%. They are the last batch of rolling stock on the two lines to be painted in the "Blackbird" livery. Developed from the KNS C751B sets, further developments of the type include the C151B and C151C featuring design updates and changes.
