Ulf Strömberg
Ulf Strömberg, sometimes anglicised as Stroemberg, (4 November 1959 – 26 November 2001) was a Swedish cameraman for Sweden's TV4, who was shot and killed by robbers in Taloqan, Takhar Province, Afghanistan while covering the War in Afghanistan in 2001. Personal Ulf Strömberg was married and the father of three children, two daughters and a son. Career Strömberg was initially employed for a TV4 affiliate in Uppsala, Sweden and then joined the national network in 1998. Strömberg's last position was as a photojournalist in Paris with correspondent Elisabet Frerot for TV4. Death While covering the War in Afghanistan, Strömberg was staying in a house in Taloqan with other Swedish journalists. At around 2 a.m. on 26 November 2001, ''Aftonbladet's'' reporters Martin Adler and Bo Lidén were robbed by armed men (moore boys at the age 14,15 ) in uniform who had invaded the house. Taloqan
Taloqan (Persian, also transcribed Taleqan or Taluqan) is the capital of Takhar Province, in northeastern Afghanistan. It is located in the Taluqan District. The population was estimated as 196,400 in 2006. In 2021, the Taliban gained control of the province during the 2021 Taliban offensive. Göran Persson
Hans Göran Persson (; born 20 January 1949) is a Swedish politician who served as Prime Minister of Sweden from 1996 to 2006 and leader of the Swedish Social Democratic Party from 1996 to 2007. Nils Horner
Nils Horner (5 December 1962 – 11 March 2014) was a Swedish Radio journalist. Horner was the chief correspondent for Sveriges Radio's Asia division and had covered multiple stories surrounding the War in Afghanistan (2001–2021), as well as natural disasters. Personal Nils Horner was born in Borås, Västra Götaland County, Sweden, to Ragnar Georg Vilhelm Horner and Jean Horner. He had one sister, Ingrid, who was four years older. At the age of 10, Nils' family moved into a home in Brämhult, but never really settled down in one place until he accepted his position in Hong Kong.
