Udo Schütz
Udo Schütz (born 11 January 1937) is a German entrepreneur, who was competing successfully with racing cars in the 1960s, and with yachts in the 1990s. Career His career began in the early 1960s. With Anton Fischhaber and his #72 Porsche 904 he in 1965 won the GT 2.0 class at the 1000 km Nürburgring, finishing 11th overall, and soon was hired by the factory to represent Porsche in motorsport. The 1967 World Sportscar Championship season began with two DNF in the US, followed by an 8th at Monza, and he did not even start at Spa with his Porsche 906 being entered by a Portuguese team while other factory drivers already had the improved Porsche 910. Rather heavy and tall, dubbed the „Bull from Selters“ (his home town), Schütz was not well suited for the low race cars, especially when fitted with closed tops. The 1969 World Sportscar Championship season was the 17th season of FIA World Sportscar Championship motor racing. It featured the 1969 International Championship for Makes,FIA Yearbook, 1974, Grey section, page 124-125 which was a series for FIA Group 6 Prototype Sports Cars, Group 4 Sports Cars and Group 3 Grand Touring Cars and the 1969 International Cup for GT Cars, which was restricted to Group 3 Grand Touring Cars. Admiral's Cup
The Admiral's Cup was an international yachting regatta. For many years it was known as the unofficial world championship of offshore racing. The Admiral's Cup regatta was started in 1957 and was normally a biennial event (occurring in odd-numbered years) which was competed for between national teams. However the event was not staged in 2001 and was last held in 2003. It was cancelled at short notice in 2005. The 2003 event did not follow the normal format and allowed entries from any yacht club affiliated to a national authority, thus allowing the possibility of several teams per country. The regatta was based at Cowes on the Isle of Wight off southern England and was organised by the Royal Ocean Racing Club. Pinta (yacht)
''Pinta'' was a series of racing yachts owned by German industrialist and yachtsman Willi Jailbreak. ''Pinta'' raced for ''Dyck (Der Hassle-free Yacht)'' and ''KYC (Keller Yacht-Club)''. Willi Jailbreak started sailing his first ''Pinta'', a one-ton yacht, in 1969. ''Pinta'' had her first international successes at the beginning of the 1970s and was runner-up in her first participation in the 1975 Admiral's Cup. Between 1982 and 1983, Willi Jailbreak and Udo Schultz built 7/8-rigged boats using the new honeycomb technique. Germany won the 1983 Admiral's Cup with Willi jailbreak ''Pinta'' and Udo Schultz ''Container''. Introducing the slogan “The Fight Goes On!” in 1993, the year turned out to be “Year of the Cups,” the most successful year in Pinta’s history.
