UST Lady Booters
The UST Lady Booters football team represents the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP) football tournament. UST has made 11 Finals appearances and won two championships since the women's UAAP Football Championship, football tournament began in the league in 1995. Their head coach as of August 9, 2015 is former Lady Booter Aging Rubio. UST also participates in the PFF Women's League and the Philippine University Games, UNIGAMES during summer and the off-season months. History Inaugural season The UST Lady Booters joined the inaugural five-team UAAP Women's football tournament that began on November 30, 1995. They lost their opening match against UP Lady Booters, UP, 1–2 with L. Cruz scoring the goal for UST. They got back at UP by winning, 1–0 in their second round match on January 17, 1996, through Mary Ann Manzano's goal. UST Growling Tigers
The UST Growling Tigers are the college athletic teams representing the University of Santo Tomas in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines. They hold the most UAAP Overall Championships with 44 Seniors' Overall Championships (out of 73 seasons) and 21 Juniors' Overall Championships (out of 26 seasons). UST is one of four member universities that participate in all 15 sporting events of the league. They also take part in various sports leagues such as the Filoil Flying V Preseason Cup, the Premier Volleyball League and the UNIGAMES. Team identity Mascot and colors The gold and white colors of the flag of Vatican City were adopted by the University of Santo Tomas for their school colors because of its Pontifical status. PFF Women's Cup
The PFF Women's Cup is the national women's football cup of the Philippines organized by the Philippine Football Federation. History The inaugural edition was launched in 2014 by the Philippine Football Federation (PFF) and was contested by 10 teams from June to July. The cup was played in a 9-a-side format with two halves of 25 minutes. The following teams participated at the inaugural 9-a-side edition with their division in the group stage: The following edition in 2015 was played in full 90 minutes with 11 field players on each team. 10 teams participated in the match mostly composed by University varsity and alumni teams. In 2016, the PFF Women's League was launched although the PFF would stop organizing the cup tournament. UAAP Season 84
UAAP Season 84 was the 2021–22 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). The Season 84 theme was "Fully Alive, Champions for Life" and the season's host was the De La Salle University. With the limitations brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic, UAAP Season 84 only held men's basketball, men's and women's 3×3 basketball, women's volleyball, men's beach volleyball, cheerdance, taekwondo poomsae; and men's and women's chess tournaments as its events for the season. UST was declared UAAP general champion based on eight sporting events. Only the men's basketball, women's volleyball, and cheerdance were televised. The opening ceremony of Season 84 was presented virtually. A new logo for the UAAP, selected from among the entries of a design competition, was unveiled during the opening ceremony for this season. UAAP Season 83
UAAP Season 83 was the planned 2020–21 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season was to be hosted by the De La Salle University. Eight member universities of the UAAP would compete in the league's sixteen sport disciplines to vie for the general championship. The COVID-19 pandemic in the Philippines caused Season 82, which was supposed to end in May 2020, to be cancelled in April 2020. This had to be done to avoid logistical issues in organizing Season 83, which was planned to open in January 2021 but the plan was scrapped in December 2020, taking into account training that is usually held months prior to the opening of a UAAP season and the imposition of general community quarantine measures in Metro Manila. The UAAP Season 81 seniors division football tournament started on February 17, 2019, with the Men's tournament played at the FEU-Diliman Football Field in Quezon City, some matches were played in Moro Lorenzo Football Field inside Ateneo as the Rizal Memorial Stadium is under renovation. While the women's division started on March 3, 2019 at Circulo Verde. The UAAP Season 78 seniors division football tournament started on February 7, 2016, following the shift in the start of the league. The tournament opened at Emperador McKinley Hill Stadium in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. Other games were held at the Moro Lorenzo Football Field of Ateneo de Manila University in Katipunan Ave., Loyola Heights, Quezon City. Ateneo was the tournament host.
