UAAP Season 81 Football Tournaments
The UAAP Season 81 seniors division football tournament started on February 17, 2019, with the Men's tournament played at the FEU-Diliman Football Field in Quezon City, some matches were played in Moro Lorenzo Football Field inside Ateneo as the Rizal Memorial Stadium is under renovation. While the women's division started on March 3, 2019 at Circulo Verde. University Of Santo Tomas
The University of Santo Tomas (also known as UST and officially as the Pontifical and Royal University of Santo Tomas, Manila) is a private, Catholic research university in Manila, Philippines. UAAP Season 81
UAAP Season 81 is the 2018–19 athletic year of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). This season is hosted by National University. Eight member universities of the UAAP competed in the league's fifteen sports to vie for the general championship. Opening ceremony The opening ceremony was held on September 8, 2018 at the Mall of Asia Arena with the tagline "It All Begins Here". The ceremony kicked off with an intermission number led by the NU Chorale, NU Underdawgz and the NU Pep Squad. NBA star Stephen Curry made a special appearance and led the oath of sportsmanship for the athletes. Local artists Sponge Cola, James Reid and South Korean singer-songwriter and former 2NE1 member Minzy also performed inside the arena. Rizal Memorial Stadium
The Rizal Memorial Track and Football Stadium (simply known as the Rizal Memorial Stadium; officially the Simeon Toribio Track Stadium) is the main stadium of the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex in Manila, Philippines. Kintaro Miyagi
Kintaro Miyagi (born April 14, 1998) is a Filipino footballer for Philippines Football League club Cebu. He has played for the Philippines national football team. Amateur career Youth While attending Sacred Heart School-Ateneo de Cebu, Miyagi played for the Magis Eagles his school's varsity team which he helped win various titles. He was also represented Mandaue in local inter-city tournaments as well as Central Visayas in regional meets such as the Palarong Pambansa. Javier Augustine "Jarvey" Ocampo Gayoso (; born February 11, 1997) is a Filipino professional footballer who plays as a left winger for Philippines Football League (PFL) club Kaya–Iloilo and the Philippines national team. He played in the collegiate level as a forward for Ateneo de Manila University. Overtime (sports)
Overtime or extra time is an additional period of play specified under the rules of a sport to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament. A penalty shoot-out (officially kicks from the penalty mark) is a tie-breaking method in association football to determine which team is awarded victory in a match that cannot end in a draw, when the score is tied after the normal time as well as extra time (if used) have expired. In a penalty shoot-out, each team takes turns shooting at goal from the penalty mark, with the goal defended only by the opposing team's goalkeeper. Each team has five shots which must be taken by different kickers; the team that makes more successful kicks is declared the victor. Shoot-outs finish as soon as one team has an insurmountable lead. If scores are level after five pairs of shots, the shootout progresses into additional " sudden-death" rounds.
