Turkey women's national goalball team is the women's national team of Turkey. Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for athletes with a vision impairment. It takes part in international competitions. Goalball
Goalball is a team sport designed specifically for athletes with a vision impairment. Participants compete in teams of three, and try to throw a ball that has bells embedded inside of it into the opponents' goal. The ball is thrown by hand and never kicked. Using ear-hand coordination, originating as a rehabilitation exercise, the sport has no able-bodied equivalent. Able-bodied athletes are also blindfolded when playing this sport. Played indoors, usually on a volleyball court, games consist of twelve-minute halves (formerly ten-minute halves) with three-minute half-time. Where there is a tie, golden goal overtime occurs in the form of two three-minute periods (and a second three-minute half-time). If the tie persists, a paired shootout ('extra throws' and 'sudden death extra throws') determines the winner. Teams alternate throwing or rolling the ball from one end of the playing area to the other, and players remain in the area of their own goal in both defence and attack. ...

Berfin Altan
Berfin Altan (born 24 November 2003) is a Turkish goalball player having visual impairment. She was a member of the national team at the 2021 IBSA European Goalball Championship. She is a high school student at the School for the Blind and Visually Impaired "Durmuş Ali Çoban Anadolu Lisesi" in Denizli, Turkey. She is a member of the school goalball team. After playing chess and performin Judo, she switched over to goalball in 2016. She has been called up to the Turkey women's national goalball team camps since 2018. She took part at the 2021 IBSA Goalball European Championship held in Samsun, Turkey. She enjoyed her team's silver medal title. Sümeyye Özcan (Paralympian)
Sümeyye Özcan (born January 15, 1992) is a Turkish female middle distance runner and goalball player in the B1 class. She is a member of the national team. Early years Sümeyye Özcan was born totally blind in Malatya, Turkey on January 15, 1992. Her elder sister as well as her younger sibling is also blind. Because there was no proper facilities for schooling blind children in Malatya, the family moved to Kahramanmaraş in 2001. She completed her education with the Ertuğrul Gazi School for the Blind and Visually Impaired in Kahramanmaraş. Sporting career Özcan began with goal playing in 2004, and with athletics in 2009. Gülşah Düzgün (born Gülşah Aktürk on 25 September 1995) is a Turkish female Paralympian goalball player. She is a member of the national team. Private life Gülşah Düzgün was born to İsmail Aktürk and his spouse Mğrvet on 25 September 1995. She completed her secondary education in a school for the blinds and visually impaired. She is married to her club mate Tekin Okan Düzgün, also a visually impaired sportsman and a national goalball player. In 2018, she gave birth to a daughter, Elif Bera. Sporting career The visually impaired girl started performing goalball in the school through her physical training teacher in 2006.
